Just A Little Hunting

The way to the Great mound is mostly by water as both you and the lizardfolk can swim easily and well. You take the small river that flows into and out of the moat of the castle till it connects with one of the swamp's main rivers and then follows that along its winding way to the northern portion of the swamp. It takes about an hour to get to the point where the lizardfolk call a halt. "It is customary for visitors to bring food. We are approaching the edge of the territory marked as ours in the old compact, so you will have to hunt here." One of them, possibly a male and not very great of stature for a lizardkin, explains in draconic. You rise from the river and climb on the banks then after sunning yourself for a minute take to the air in search of game.

It is Krank who spots your quarry, a sounder of swine rooting in the marsh, and you dive to the attack. Your Praetorians heavy crossbows bring down two of the adults and three young over the course of the next half hour of aerial coursing, whereupon you call a halt and gather the prizes. The Lizardfolk catch up and help you carry the carcasses the rest of the way, smiling and laughing about the feast that will be had for the negotiations. "The tribe will eat well tonight! We have not had such a wealth of pork in many moons!" the shortish one who speaks draconic informs you.

"<Are we to share in the feast, or should we hunt one more for our own supper?>" You ask, and they shake their heads.

"We are not so stingy, you caught the game you will share in the feasting, but if you think more meat is needed you should hunt one more before they get away." The shortish one informs you.
