Mystery Brunette !

It had been a strange experience and a strange atmosphere for Debbi at the footballer's mansion. The strange experience had been seeing the statue at its' full larger than life size for the first time and seeing how all three nude figures were unmistakably her. It was an impressive piece of work, even if it wasn't Lesley's usual style. The strange atmosphere seemed to be generated by the fact that her presence had not been expected. Lesley was busy overseeing the installation and there was a TV crew there making a documentary about the 'cultured footballer'. Debbi was thus at a loose end and the footballer and his entourage seemed oddly wary and nervous of her.

The TV crew did an interview with Lesley about the commission for the statue and she emphasised that the figures had to be modelled on Debbi, hence they were all three the same person in one tableaux. The crew then approached Debbi. "How does it feel to have such a rich and famous personality obsessed with you ?" she was asked. Debbi giggled nervously. "Don't be silly. I don't even know him" she replied. "Well, he seems to have gone to a great deal of trouble and expense to get three more than life size effigies of you" the interviewer persisted. Debbi tried to shrug this off, not knowing that Lesley had indeed confirmed that Debbi's participation had been essential to the project going ahead. "Oh, I think he's just an art lover who admires Lesley's work" she said.

Debbi was woken early the next morning by the phone. It was Lawrence. He had been up all night following a tip off from Sunil, busy disabling the webcams and erasing his online footprint regarding Debbi as best he could. "Have you seen the front page of the Sun ?" he asked. "Why on earth would I have seen that rag ?" Debbi answered, bewildered. "Well, I think you'd better get on your laptop and look at the online edition" he insisted. Debbi sleepily did as she was told. The newspaper front page headline screamed at her. 'The Bimbo WAG Who Stole Roddy's Heart'. It was accompanied by a nude photo of her looking over her shoulder and showing her bare bum from one of the charity calendar shoots !

The shoddily written article continued talking about the 'mystery brunette beauty' who was the latest paramour of superstar footballer Roddy Powell. And how he had commissioned massive nude statues of her ( see page 5 ) "But I don't understand" said Debbi. "You're going to need some PR representation. You know what it's like when the tabloids get their claws into someone" Lawrence advised. "No I don't " Debbi wailed. "Take a look out of your window" Lawrence suggested. The naked Debbi got out of bed and opened her bedroom curtains, only to hurriedly close then again as she saw a myriad of paparazzi lenses being swiftly pointed at her ! "Eek ! I'm being staked out Lawrence" she cried. "Stay calm, I'll be right over" he said.
