How could he not?

Josh shrugs. How could he seriously pass up spending the rest of the school year working with one of the hottest girls in school? "Uh, okay."

Tanya was thrilled. And when it was announced to the class, her friends were confused. Mostly, McKenzie was both confused and thrilled because Tanya's weird change of heart meant she'd get to partner with Chad. She never would have otherwise dreamt of competing with her friend. "What happened?" McKenzie asked as the two girls walked to their next class together.

"What do you mean?" Tanya asks honestly not sure.

"You were going to ask Chad to be your partner. I mean, you're cool that I partnered with him, right?"

"Oh, totally, Mac. I never even considered Chad. Josh was always my first choice."

McKenzie raises an eyebrow. "That's not what you said..." she stops. McKenzie doesn't understand what's going on but decides its best to leave well enough alone. Besides, if Tanya is going to keep acting like a freaky weirdo it opens a previously unavailable door to get out from her shadow. She could be the second most popular girl in school.

The rest of the school day is surprisingly uneventful until lunch. Tanya remembers Whitney's orders and goes to sit with Kyle and his friends at lunch. She continues ignoring everyone except Kyle and Maggie. Josh tries his best to get his new lab partner's attention, but she shrugs him off because she's both still under the order to not ignore Kyle and overwhelmed by the urge to start making out with the two losers.

Kyle goes on and on about Shadowrun and how much he can't wait to draft up her character. It barely registers in Tanya's brain because the more she fights the urge to kiss him the more aroused she finds herself. "What the hell is wrong with me?" she thinks to herself multiple times. Occasionally she breaks eye contact to look at the table with her usual friends. She sees Chad sitting between Whitney and McKenzie. She doesn't understand how she can feel jealous while also wanting to make out with Kyle and Maggie. And why does she want to make out with Maggie?!

Other than the intense desire, Tanya manages to make it through lunch and the last class of the day without any **** orders. She keeps her head low and avoids her friends. As soon as the last class finishes she quickly heads home.
