To the local college

Jess was still getting used to being able to travel throughout time while it was frozen. It was purely silent, like nothing she had ever experienced before. There was no wind, no shouting from other people, no cars engines. Something about it was peaceful, as if it was just her and Richard. The only two people that mattered. At the same time, there was something upsetting about the feeling it gave off, like they weren't safe. She didn't know what the possible cause of that could be. Surely nothing could hurt them when no one else could move? Shaking that thought out of her head, Jess realized they were just wondering through the town without a destination.

"Oh, hey, I have an idea how about we go see what Bridget is up to?", Bridget was Jess' best friend who she had most of her classes with.

"Getting into the girl college dorms, sounds like there's fun to be had", he said, smirking at Jess.

Jess and Bridget had been friends since high school. Ever since then they stuck together like glue. Richard didn't know, but Bridget had a crush on him for a long time. Whenever she was at the house, she'd make glances towards Richard when he walked by. At first Jess didn't think anything of it, till she noticed how her friend got rosy cheeks when she saw him and turned shy. After a while, Bridget confessed in her friend about her brother.

That's actually when Jess started seeing her brother as a man, someone who was physically attractive, versus just her brother. She had Bridget to thank for what had gone down earlier as she was now in her debt. A debt that she intended to repay soon...

On the way to their local college, Jess had an intense feeling of needing to check something she felt was wrong. She stopped dead in her tracks, Richard almost stumbling into her. She peered down the road adjacent to them.

"What's up sis?", Richard asked, stopping with her.

"I thought I saw something move... must be nothing though. It's weird how you sense things so much more when time is stopped."

"Yeah, it's kind of addictive though, almost like you're able to sense more."

Richard was right about that Jess thought. There was something oddly satisfying about being able to walk throughout time. Thinking about that, she realized the feeling she had just seconds ago was no longer there. Instead it was replaced by a small amount of fear, whether it was her own, or something placed there, she wasn't quite sure. She shook it off, deciding on not telling Richard for now, and just head to the college.

Normally it was around a 20 minute walk to the community college, but since Jess was lost in her thoughts it felt as though she just appeared in front of the dorm building. She looked up to see the sign above the door, it read 'Greenpine Community College Female Dorms' They seem to have luck on their side as they froze time when one of the other students was making their way inside leaving the door unlocked and open for them.

"Oh sweet, thank you Ana", Jess said.

Ana was a freshman this year. Ana only had one class with her, AP Physics. Even though she was a year behind her, she was extremely bright, always pushing ahead trying to learn. They weren't that close with each other as Ana seemed to distance herself from others. Realizing she never really saw Ana with anyone else, Jess decided that she'll try and befriend her, feeling slightly sad for Ana. Making their way past Ana, Jess went on auto pilot to where she knew her friends room to be.

Richard followed Jess as she made her way up the stairs and through the corridor, going exactly to Bridget's room. Trying the door, they find it to be unlocked.

As Jess made her way in, he hears her say "What do we have here?"
