Canoes and Catch Up

"Okay, Kurt, Zack and Gavin, let me get the canoes!" Heather informs, "And then we'll meet the rest of you all down by the lake, okay?" she looks her head around at Ashley, Victoria and Chloe, "Brandon coming or?"

"He'll be here, just finishing up the room. Going to throw everything in the washing machine and set it to run before we leave."

"Good!" Heather nods, "Make sure there's plenty of food and drink in that cooler! Eight of us are going and we'll be pretty far away from the cabin."

"Four bottles of wine already!" Ashley laughs, "You think we need six?" the girl jests as Heather just rolls her eyes back at her in somewhat annoyance, "Go, we'll be fine, meet you down by the lake!"

With that, Heather, Kurt, Zack and Gavin trudge out of the cabin, "Okay Kurt, show Gavin where our canoe is and you two bring it down, Zack follow me, we'll get the neighbors. Should be two oars as well, so make sure to grab those!" the cheer captain orders the group, not giving them any voice of opinion. "Meet down by the lake, we'll wait for the others and then we can depart."

With a shrug the four split into their assigned groups, making their way towards the canoes to get them down to the lake to begin their journey.

This once again left Ashley, Chloe and Victoria alone in the kitchen, putting together the picnic lunch and having some girl talk again while they finish that and wait for Brandon. Chloe felt a little out of place again but she was starting to feel better hanging out and interacting with the girls. Ashley is always so easy to talk with and so out going and with her little three way with Vicky and Zack made it a ton more laid back to talk with Victoria.

As Ashley is slabbing down eight pieces of bread and Victoria is placing a handful of smoked turkey on each piece, Chloe pulls out Colby jack cheese, layering a slice on each mound of turkey. "We make a great team!" Ashley laughs out before she moves around, grabbing more bread to layer it on top of the sandwich, "Turkey and Cheese sandwiches, we'll grab some mayo if people want that!" she says.

The girls proceed to pack the cooler, placing the four bottles of wine, a dozen water bottles, the now wrapped sandwiches as well as two bags of chips. Once they were all set, they stand in a semi circle around the cooler and all look at each other, "Whew! Nice work ladies!" Ashley nods, smiling at both. "I can't wait to get back out on the lake, hang out with you girls but the boys as well."

"Yeah, so you and Gavin, eh?" Chloe nudges the cheerleader who looks back at Chloe surprised.

"W-What do you mean?" she goes a little flush, "Huh?"

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Vicky's hands go to her hips, "What does she mean by you and Gavin, Ash?" her best friend asks.

"Gavin told me everything." Chloe teases more, "Tsk tsk tsk!" she clicks her tongue.

"What did you do!" Victoria's hands shoot to her mouth, "Ashley!"

"It was a one time mistake, that's all, we were teasing each other through out the day and one thing lead to another and..."

"You cheater!" Vicky laughs out loud giving her friend a slap on the arm.

"Keep it down, keep it down!" she shushes the girls with her hands, "Brandon is..." she nods towards the hallway where the master bedroom is, "Shhhh..." she glares at Victoria quickly before coming up with her own rebuttal at Chloe, "Yeah well, you and Zack huh?"

"Vicky was there too!" Chloe pokes her tongue out with a grin on her face.

Now it's Ashley's turn to act as she throws her hands on her hips and slowly turns to her best friend, "Whoa whoa whoa!" she imitates exactly what she just did, "What does she mean by Vicky was there too!"

The blonde gulps and takes a step back, "Umm, well, ya see..."

"No one is gonna help me?" Brandon says to deaf ears, "Seriously?!" he gives out a deep exhale and steps over to the cooler, grabbing a handle on each side and lugging is through the cabin, out the sliding door and down towards the lake.
