You had enough of this giant snuff induced fuckfest of a room and immediately left the area as soon as you finished your conversation with Shade. It was mind blowing how addicting this **** of his could be and even though you had the mentality of each person can choose what they want to do, you didn't want yourself or any of the people you love getting themselves addicted to this substance. The things these other nobles from nations did just for another hit of snuff was ridiculous and you couldn't even imagine Lexie, Ashe or Zoe leaving the Syndicate to rush to Loner's Reach to suck Shade's cock just for another hit of snuff. It angered you more than it should as you stomp back through the hallways of the beaten down castle, making your way back to the room the three of you are staying at.

As you reach the door you place one hand on the knob, ready to turn it and the other on the wooden door itself, ready to push it open but you stop. Taking a few deep breaths as you realize you're about to walk back into the snuff induced, bat-shit crazy Zoe and you hope Lexie forgives you for leaving her alone with the hyper Sunrider. "Here we go..." you grumble under your breath as you turn the knob and push the door open.

The door cracks open and you're taken by surprise immediately. No sounds. No cheers. No voices. No Zoe? You step inside and softly close the door behind your back as you look ahead. Lexie is sitting at the table with a piece of bread in her hand, slowly eating away as she turns and connects with your somewhat shocked look. Soon your eyes veer off towards the bed where Zoe is on it, under the covers and passed out slightly snoring. "H-How...?" you grumble out as your mouth drops open.

Lexie lets out a soft laugh as she stands up and begins to walk your direction.

"How did you?" you ask "I wasn't gone very long, what did you...how did you...oh my god you're amazing." you open your arms up and accept your loving fiance's embrace. "Tell me your secrets..." you whisper into her ear as you hold her close.

Lexie laughs into your body and buries her face into your chest "I'm glad you're back Darien, I was worried."

"Worried about me?" one hand rests on her back while the other rubs the back of her head "You don't have to worry about me, I can handle myself, you know that."

"I know..." she mumbles out "But I still worry." she hugs you even harder.

"So, good news is we should be able to leave tomorrow..." you step away from Lexie's embrace, looking at her face "Shade told me the information I asked for he can give me the news tomorrow. I mean, I guess I don't know when, but sometime tomorrow." you shrug.

"That's good." Lexie smiles as she turns back to the table where the food is laid out "I don't like this place much...I'd rather leave as soon as possible."

"Yeah, me neither." you pull a chair out and sit down, looking at the tray of food that was delivered to the room. You glance over some bread, water, wine, cheese, meat, fruits and some vegetables but also, a few pouches which you know what they are filled with "We're getting rid of these." you reach over, grabbing the four little pouches.

"Oh?" Lexie asks, slightly confused by your sudden anger at the pouches full of snuff.

"You know how laid back I can be, how I don't really let many things get to me..." you look at Lexie who nods in response "This shit is...no. I just met with Shade and I can't tell you the amount of Rathkin, Errian and even Syndicate members I probably ran into. All of them doing whatever it takes to get another hit of this shit." you stuff the pouches in your pocket, hiding them from both Lexie and Zoe and ready to discard them whenever you can "I don't care if you drink or do **** or...hell, I don't care about much things because it's your body, if you want to do it, great." you shrug "But this stuff. I don't want to give Shade even more power over us." you connect with Lexie's eyes who seem to agree with you until you turn your head and look at the sleeping Sunrider "I just worry about her..."

Lexie turns in her chair and throws her arm around the back of it "She's a good girl, Darien. She'll be okay I think! Plus, she's got us to help her out and watch her back if needed." she continues to watch the snoring girl.

"I hope so..." you grumble out "She really fucked up today."

"Oh?" Lexie turns back around looking at you.

"Ran off into some type of establishment, got through the guards and bouncers, did a huge bet randomly inside and lost tons of gold, ended up stealing a giant bag of that snuff stuff and giving it away freely, causing a riot, causing people to die..."

"Syndicate Suns...." Lexie grumbles out "Why didn't you stay by her side?"

"I tried!" your head tilts down to the table "I...I'm just not you, Lexie. I dunno, I turned my head for two seconds and she's gone. Now though, man, Shade said it was okay but I could tell, he was pissed off. He told me if anything like that happens again he'll make me pay." your hand reaches across the table and grabs Lexie's "And I don't even want to know what he means by that..." your thumb caresses the back of her hand.

She brings her other hand up and places it on top of your own, caressing it as well "Even more reason to leave this place as soon as possible." she's watching her hands grip your own.

The two sit in silence for a few brief moments just holding each others hands. "I love you, Lexie." you finally say "I hope you know that." she just looks up at you and smiles "I'm glad you're okay."

Her hand leaves your own and goes to her stomach, softly rubbing it "I'm feeling much better." she gives you an affirming grin.

"Yeah, but I just hope he is okay." you grin at Lexie.

"He?" Lexie cracks a smile and shakes her head.

"Oh yeah, my little guy in there is holding strong I bet." you give her a wink.

"Or SHE is just like her mother and can fight through it all!" Lexie nods at you "She will be the greatest!"

"Yeah, HE will be."

"Yes, SHE will."

The two look at each other before laughing a little too loud. Both immediately cup their mouths and look at Zoe in the bed, hoping not to wake her. Then, they connect their eyes again, longing into one another, happy as can be.

"Come here..." you lean forward, gripping Lexie's arm and pulling her into your lap "I just want to hold you for a bit..." she sits down on your lap as you wrap your arms around her completely, pulling her into your body. "Just for a few minutes, okay?" Lexie just rubs the side of her head into your own as she purrs softly. "I love you, Lexie..." you whisper to her as you rub her arm softly up and down "I love you so much..."
