Choosing Partners

"Okay okay okay!" Heather says aloud as she slaps her hands down on the wooden patio table to garner everybody elses attention. "We have two things we have to do before we can leave this table." she looks around, making sure the remaining group pay attention, minus Zack and Victoria who were inside "First things first," she holds up the still half full fifth of Vodka and then points to the three quarters full fifth of Bourbon "We gotta finish both of these before we leave this table!"

"Hell yeah, easy as pie, oh shit." the remaining five let out.

"And two, we need to split up into two teams of four, so four of us need to get together and the other two will pair with Zack and Victoria!"

"Uhh, why's that?!" Brandon lets out, "What's on your mind, Heather?"

"Charades you fuckers!" Heather smiles, knowing that playing Charades with all eight people would be a lot of fun, even more fun to make interesting rules that either involve ****, stripping or forcing people into things.

"Hell yeah!" Brandon and Kurt laugh out "Even better if **** is involved."

"Charades huh?" Chloe asks "D-Do we have to drink?" she asks, her normally shy self doesn't really want to drink much, nor have to get in front of seven other people and act something out.

"Well..." Heather begins "Of course you have to drink! I mean, we can mix up something that isn't so potent if needed but of course you gotta drink!" Heather smiles. "Now, either way, I'll pass the fifths around, you take a drink and after the entire table takes a drink, we decide on teams!" Heather immediately sits down and throws back a shot from the fifth before passing it to Kurt.

"Cheers!" He slams it down, passing to Brandon who follows suit, who then passes it to Gavin.

"Uhh..." He stutters out, not one to really enjoy just taking straight shots.

"Come on Gavin!" Heather cheers him on, which getting some motivation from his secret crush, really pushed him into just taking the drink. He immediately takes a hefty mouthful before swallowing it down and passing it to Chloe.

Chloe just looks at the bottle of liquid sloshing around "Gotta open up a bit, come outta my shell..." she thinks in her head before she takes a deep breath and throws the bottle into her mouth, taking a smaller gulp, coughing twice and then passing it to Ashley who downs a shot without issues before giving it back to Heather.

"Okay, way to go! At this rate, Charades is going to be pretty fucking dope!" she smiles. "So anyway, Victoria and Zack don't get a say in the matter because they decided to do the dishes..."

"Didn't we **** them to?" Gavin questions.

"Shush, Gavin. They were just nice and wanted to do the dishes." Heather says, causing a laugh around the table "If we want them together on a team or separate, we will decide them last. Sound good?" Heather asks, looking around the table and getting a bunch of nods. So, we either need one team of four and the other two will go with Zack and Vicky or two teams of three and we'll split Zack and Vicky up."

"Well, how should we decide?" Brandon asks.

"Could randomize it?" Gavin says aloud "I have a randomizer on my phone, I could go grab it, it's in my room. Then it'd be fair for everybody."

"Fuck yeah, Gavin!" Kurt cheers "Atta boy!" he eggs him on causing the generally nerdy boy to smile cheerfully at the blonde haired older teen.

"Although, maybe it'd be best to pick teams and split people up who know each other extremely well?" Ashley buts in "Like, if I'm with Brandon obviously we'll be able to read each other the best, so we should probably be on opposite teams?"

"Aww babe, I wanna be with you though, so we can win!" Brandon pouts at his girlfriend.

"I do too babe, I want to be on your team but like, maybe it'd be best to split us up for the game, ya know, pair me with someone I don't really know well, like, I dunno...how about I get paired with..." Ashley looks around the table, her eyes veering from Heather, Kurt to Brandon before she stops on Gavin "Like Gavin or something...I don't know him very well." she looks at him, seeing his eyes go wide as he locks into Ashley's gaze.

"Yeah but then we gotta split up Gavin, Zack and I as best as we can...which isn't possible since two of them will be on the same team! Same Ashley, Heather and Vicky!" Chloe says.

"If that's the case, how about we do teams of two?" Ashley suggests "Have four two person teams, since there's eight of us."

"Yeah but, then we have unequal teams" Brandon shakes his head at his girlfriend "That wouldn't work."

Heather laughs out loud "Brandon, you're an idiot." she smiles "I don't want him on my team!"

"Teams of two would work..." Chloe replies "Although we'd probably still want to split up the partners as best as we can so nobody is too familiar with one another."

"Yup, which is why I think I'll stick with Gavin!" Ashley says, informing the group. "Now pass me that vodka! We're partners, we have to drink on it!" she grabs the bottle from Heather's grasp as she looks at Gavin "Pass him the Bourbon, partners gotta drink together!" she smiles at the glasses covered boy who slowly gulps down saliva before getting passed the Bourbon.

"Uhh, to partners?" Gavin shrugs at Ashley, holding the fifth of Bourbon up before both him and Ashley take a swig from their own fifths.

"Okay, so that's one group of partners down, now we have to decide the others?" Heather says, slapping her hands on the table. "How about we each take another drink and then after that, we decide on the next group?"

"Sounds like a great idea!" Kurt replies immediately.

And just like that, Heather took another drink before passing the fifths around, where each member around the table took another swig until it finally got returned to her. At that point, another pair was selected and around the table it went again, everybody taking another drink before once more another pair of two were picked. The process repeated itself until all the teams were decided.
