The Brand Name

The rest of John’s school day wasn’t nearly as hopeful as he thought it would be. He had met Kim shortly after teaching Vanessa the first of many lessons. While she sympathized with John, neither she nor her clan could provide assistance because of previous pacts with the Order. Both had similar missions to stop evil and while her clan did think the Order was getting rather eccentric with their evil hunting duties, it was not their place to stop them. The silver lining to this meeting, however, was that Kim promised her clan would not aid the Order either. He would face the Order and only them in this war. John also attempted to get Rave to join him in his war against the Order and Moira, and as much as she would love to give little miss princess a good ass kicking, she knew her father and her guild would not allow it. All she could give John was her blessing in his upcoming battle.

Dejected, John made his way to the bus to go home. He stood around for 10 minutes, casting Observe on the various people. Nothing interesting showed up for John to even bother with them. As the bus pulled up, John let out a sigh at still having to rely on public transportation. Well, for now. If I can find a way to get a steady cash flow I can get a car. Or hell, I could have Vanessa buy me a nice car! thought John as he made his way onto the bus and into a seat. Wait no, that’d cause far too many questions that I wouldn’t be able to properly answer. Guess I’ll have to do it the old fashioned way, decided John as he looked around the bus. As his eyes scanned the bus to see the various passengers of age and gender. It wasn’t until he saw two seats above him that he noticed a familiar face.

“Wait, isn’t that Sarah…the Jedi?” John mumbled to himself as he cast Observe to make sure. John was surprised to see her level rise to 8, but the rest of the information stayed the same. Sarah immediately looked around the moment after John cast his spell. As she turned to look at the back of the bus, her eyes met with John’s and a sigh escaped her lips. She got up from her spot and moved to sit next to him.

“So, we meet again,” said the young padawan with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

“Seems so,” replied John, who showed her a friendly smile. “So, how have you been?” he asked.

“I’m curious as to find out why I sensed a disturbance in The **** and see you sitting back here staring at me,” she told John, who just gave her a dumbfound look as his hand rubbed the back of his neck.

“I uh, yeah, I used one of my spells on you. It’s called Observe and it lets me see some basic information about you,” confessed John.
“Oh? Like what?” she asked.

“Well, I know between the first time we met and now, you’ve grown 3 levels, and before you even ask, my powers let me see The Abyss as a video game, so everyone has levels and HP bars, and MP bars and such. It’s also how I know you are a padawan of the Jedi Order and tend to lean towards the Consular type of Jedi,” John informed her. Sarah sat quiet for a moment before responding.

“So, your magic lets you see all that? That’s quite impressive,” admitted Sarah, a hint of jealousy in her voice.

“Yeah. It comes in quite useful at times. By the way, do you know of the Order of the Golden Rose?” asked John. Sarah’s face sunk in as John could see something had clicked in her head. Her eyes darted down as her hands clasped together on her lap. “I’m sorry, did I say something to upset you?”

“Ah, no, don’t worry about it. I’ll take your request to the Jedi Council to see if they would be willing to assist you, but, knowing our history, I doubt we will,” Sarah told him honestly, a mixture of fear and disappointment on her face. John was saddened to hear what she said, but was glad she was honest with him.

“I see…” a dejected John answered her, “I’ll hope for your assistance but prepare around not having it,” he told her. She nodded at his answer, sad she could not help someone in need as she was trained to do. The two made small talk for the rest of the ride, but neither had anything of importance to say after their initial conversation. They continued on for the 10 minutes until John reached his stop, where he bid Sarah farewell and hoped that her council would agree to assist him.
John made his way into his house, devoid of any noise. John took a quick walk around the house to confirm that his mother and the twins were not in his house. He glanced at the clock in the living room and saw he had a good 10 minutes until Vanessa were to show up at his house. John’s stomach growled, reminding him that his lunch was interrupted by Moira and her hit squad, and after his earlier activity with Vanessa, he was quite hungry. John made himself a quick snack, and sat in the living room eating his food as he wanted for his ****. John finished his food rather quickly and decided to spend the rest of his free time looking at the various brands he had acquired, just to see if they had any extra bonuses.

Advisor Brand
Fourth highest brand, below King, ???, and ???. This brand holds great sway in the kingdom and allows the person marked with this brand to command those of lower ranks and rule the kingdom in the place of the other three if they were away for a period of time. Nearby allies are rallied by the advisor, increasing their overall stats by 5%.

Citizen Brand
The base of every brand. It can be upgraded at any time to a more advanced brand. It allows access to the kingdom of Tenebris.

Derp Brand
This is a unique brand belonging to Mimi. Her derp magic fundamentally altered the brand and made it so...you know what, I don't have a clue what it does. God damn derp magic! Use Observe on her and see what I'm talking about.

Guard Captain Brand
This is the brand of the leader of the Kingsguard, the elite troops that protect the royal family. It also translates to the rank of general in the military, giving all authority that comes with that rank. This brand gives 100% increase in attack for nearby allies.

High Priestess Brand
This brand denotes the leader of the Church of Tenebris. One of the most influential brands, capable of swaying the opinions of many of the lower brands, also increases the brand owner’s LIB by 200%.

Left and Right Hand Brands
These brands are unique brands given to the Asawakai twins, based on their previous work as members of the Dark Velvet. It gives them authority akin to a general in the military. This brand increases their stealth and first strikes by 200%

Royal Mount Brand
A special brand given to unique creatures that can be mounted to ride for transportation or battle. This brand prevents the King of Tenebris from being dismounted.

**** Brand
This brand is the lowest of low. They are **** to follow the commands of anyone with a higher brand, with each brand’s tier taking precedence over the lower ones, until all commands are met. Slaves give 100% more pleasure when used for sex.

“Hmm, I see. So the brands give bonuses to who have them. And by the looks of them, some of those brands are quite good. Idena’s would explain why we always seem to be stronger when she’s around, and Gali’s would explain why she is always doing something sexual. Yatina’s and the twins’ bonuses are actually quite nice, just gotta wait for Yatina to grow up a bit until I can actually mount her. As for the twins’, I’ll have to change how I use them in battle to best use it,” pondered John out loud until his concentration was broken by the ringing of his doorbell. “Ah, so she’s finally arrived,” guessed John as he got up and made his way to the door.
