Noises Downstairs

You hear noises as you continue to trek downstairs, which pull you from your reminiscing thoughts. As you take the last step from the stairs and plant your feet on the first floor living area of your home, you steel your nerves, attempting to prepare for any number of possible outcomes.

As you continue, the noises become more clear. They are soft, and irregularly occurring. It doesn't sound like a burglar, which is a relief to you. It sounds like the noises are coming from the kitchen.

You could investigate, or you could attempt to sneak around to make your way outside. If you're scared, you could always head back upstairs and find your mother for backup, or cower in your bedroom.
