Think about Shapeshifters

A thought crosses your mind shortly before you squeeze the trigger. "Why limit yourself?" If this gun is actually capable of reading your thoughts and then transforming you, why couldn't it do more?

You create an image in your mind first of yourself, but then you add that little piece to your history.

*flash*

Inhaling and exhaling you look around. Nothing about yourself seems any different. The room doesn't look any different either. Browsing through your memories you realized that you were raised as "Mark." Your parents were sterile. Instead you were a young shapeshifter that landed on earth and instinctively assumed the form of a fetus to blend into the local dominate civilization. Growing up you had mastered form change during the hours of night during "childhood" you couldn't sleep.

A test of this new form and the skills you just inherited were the next thing on your mind. Holding the gun you covered it with your right arm as if you were a slime from an RPG and then placed it on your bed. A few minutes of concentration and you had a complete copy of the gun in your left hand.

Your roommate Steve was beyond being just a bit of a slob. You remembered finding a nest of mice in Steve's mattress. Common house mice, but perfect as lab rats for the next experiment. Taking a few mice out of Steve's stye and placing them in a few shoe boxes, you isolate one.

*flash*

You now have several white red eyed mice you remember getting from the lab at school. Steve had asked you to get a few because the snakes he kept to control his mouse population were getting hungry.

*flash* *flash* *flash* *flash*

Tinkering with the gun design you got the results you wanted. You opened the box of house mice and let them back into Steve's room. No snakes now. Just lots of snacks from the trash Steve left under his bed.

*Clunk*

Locking up the original gun in a safe you designed and made by zapping the cleanest, but still crusty, sock you stole while zapping his room and the rest of the apartment clean. You can't imagine him ever noticing.

Now to pass the time you had to think of what you were going to do next.
