Through the town

You decide to take the nostalgic route; going directly through the rustic little town. In the time since you've been back, you haven't really gotten the opportunity to see all of it, and with two hours to spare, this was the perfect time. Walking down the street from the café leads you towards the little boutique, the bakery, the butcher, the barber, the tailor, the antique shop, the book shop, the little theater and all these other little novelty stores. It seems to you that this place seems to be from an older era, now that you have seen what it is like in the city. This little town probably has changed very little in the last 50 years.

The buildings look very old fashioned; all red or brown bricks, large windows, and very pointed rooftops. It all has a medieval feeling to it, you think, as you walk along the bricked road. You notice that all the stores had these cut-out chalk-boards, relevant to the particular business. For instance, the bakery has a cut out of a baker in front of it, advertising their delicious cakes. And the butcher had a cut-out of a butcher, meat cleaver in hand, advertising 2 pounds of pork chops for the price of 1,5.

But then some other stores have more surprising ones, like the book shop; a cut-out of a sexy librarian, holding books in her hands but dressed only in a low skirt, and an open shirt showing very large cleavage. It doesn't advertise anything, just that picture. Or the video store (yes, a video store still exists here), where there stands a cut-out of a famous porn star from the old times, with the text: ALL MY VIDEOTAPES ARE STILL AVAILABLE HERE.

You chuckle to yourself. Maybe there's time to take a look inside one of the shops.
