"If Karn is handled," Josk said, "We should continue on our quest."

"Deeper into the forest?" Denni asked.

"Now that Karn isn't an issue," Hanna said, "I'd like to examine those stones again. There was a lot of power there."

"Powerful rocks?" Yolna scoffed. "We should be heading deeper, towards the elves."

Hanna bent down behind Karn and untied his hands. Brudd immediately hand his hand on his axe.

"It's okay," Hanna said. "He can't touch any of us, remember?"

"I am still wary," Brudd said.

"Weren't you keeping an eye on him yesterday?" Denni asked. "What happened to that?"

"He outpaced me in the forest," Brudd said. "So I doubled back and returned to camp. I am sorry to have interrupted your alone time with Yolna, but I think we made the best of it."

Yolna smiled. "I'd say you did," she said.

"Yes, yes," Karn said, rubbing his wrists. "Everyone's fucking everyone. Wonderful. Can we get on with it?"

"I really hate to agree with him," Ria said, "but let's move out."

They broke down camp and started off into the forest.
