Interesting island visitor

As people disembark from the ferry, you see that most of them are either locals, merchants you've seen frequently, or older tourists. You're about to give up hope on any fresh entertainment for yourself, when you see the last person slow to get off step onto the pier holding a map in front of her face. It's a woman in dark green cargo pants and a khaki button down shirt. She's carrying a camo backpack and wearing military style boots, although they are clean and spotless, a sure sign that it's more of a fashion choice than someone who has combat experience.

At first glance, she has a lean body, although she seems a little absent-minded as she continues walking with her face buried in her map and stumbles into an old lady who scowls at her. You hear the woman mutter "pardon me" in a distinctly British accent, and that intrigues you even more. She certainly doesn't seem like a tourist and the island you're on is mostly beaches and flat land, so she can't be some adventurer.

She continues walking until she's about 5 feet away from where you've been standing this whole time and she lowers the map, revealing a pretty but stern face adorned by dark rimmed glasses. You guess she's in her early 30s. Her dark brown hair is wound tightly in a bun and held together by a clip that looks ready to snap anytime from trying to hold together her voluminous mane. She stops walking and looks around, though she appears to be more interested in the island than the people on it, and she doesn't notice you staring at her from close by.

She hails someone who walks by her, pointing to her map and asking him for directions to the small resort you're staying at. After that, she folds her map up and puts it into her backpack. You're starting to think you might have been wrong, that she really is just a tourist, when she pulls out a strange gadget. It's some kind of handheld device with dials and a small display screen with a meter on it, and the woman turns 1 of the dials and the gadget turns to buzz and she starts to whirl around, as if she's trying to get a signal. Actually, the device reminds you of the gadget they use in the old Ghostbusters movies to detect paranormal activity. You wonder if that's what this woman is up to.

Of course, you have carnal intentions for her, but for now, after weeks in hiding, this is a mystery that you're interested in finding out more about.
