With a confused Superman and Flash

"So let me get this straight, you lost a pare of reality warping earrings," I said while chewing on my shwarma. "And somehow, they're now in our Watchtower."

"Exactly," Circe said.

*Flash*

"Wait what earrings? I wasn't paying attention." Barry zoomed back with a bag of chips

"Are you fucking serious-"

"Chill! I was joking; I heard the whole thing. I'm just having trouble believing it."

I agree with Barry a hundred percent; this is obviously some type of trick. But we need to find out what she's planning, she could've attacked us before, but she didn't? What does she want?

"Let's say what you're claiming is true-"

*Crunch* "Which it isn't" chimed in Barry, as he's eating on chips.

"They would be safer in our hands than in yours. Don't try to deny it." I noticed her eyes twitch.

"I realize that. I lost my chance to bare those earrings when I let someone steal them from me. But I can't trust you guys enough to leave them alone."

Barry spat out some chips, "Wait wait wait wait wait. You can't trust us?!" He zoomed right in front of her "Lady. We're the good guys here!"

"She closed her eyes, clenched her fists, and her hands started to glow purple."

"Hey! Watch it!" I said

After a couple of seconds, she slowly opened her eyes and looked directly at me, sighing she unclenched her fits. "Alright, I understand your hesitation." She said in a passive, pleading sort of way. "But I will not let myself become corrupted by those earrings! They can warp and break the foundation of all things we hold normal. No one is safe! Not even a goddess-level sorceress as myself." Barry and I silently glanced to each other, both wondering if she's honest.

"I know you won't want to give something that powerful to me; I get that, I would do the same. But help me destroy it! At this point, I'd rather have something that powerful be lost forever than become a pawn to whoever wears them."

"Oh wow. That sounded sincere. And hearing it come from you, well, you're making me want to believe what you said. The only problem is that you're an evil sorcerous, and we shouldn't trust you with a 10-foot pole." *Crunch* Did he run back to the store and get another bag of chips? I could've sworn he finished his last bag... Anyway.

"He's right, we can't afford to trust you. Especially if these earrings are as powerful as you let on. But..."

"Butt? What?" Barry said "We can't trust this chick, she's lying! Look at her nose; it can't be natural how long it is. That's some Pinocchio level shiz"

"My nose isn't long! It's average size." Circe said while touching her nose.

"It really isn't that long."

"Well, it looked long to me so..."

"Everything looks long to you."

"Haha, you know it" *Wink* *Wink*

"Dude, not now."

"Sorry..."

"Dangit Flash, now you made me forget what I was saying!"

"Don't blame me."

"You're the one the distracted me!"

"You're the one that let yourself get distracted."

"You know, I can't deny that logic."

"Mmhmm"

"Boys!"

"Oh yeah!" I said, internally facepalming myself. "I was saying; we can't trust you now. But we could use Wonderwoman's lasso of truth."

"Deal." She said swiftly.

"Huh? You agreed to that awfully fast..." *Crunch*

"Flash, I swear to god if you keep-"

"Boys!"

"Sorry." This time I physically facepalmed myself. "Okay, anyway, we're taking you in handcuffs to be safe. No tricks."

"Wait, we're not going up there are we?!"

"Yeah. Is that a-"

"No!" She shouted

What is going on with her? Does she want to cooperate or not? If anything I assumed she'd want to get into the Watchtower so she'd be closer to the earrings. Or maybe this was all a trick so she could get in the Watchtower and take it over from the inside. But now she doesn't want to go up there? What is she playing at?

"The earrings are extremely powerful up close; I'm not risking getting myself anywhere near them until I'm ready."

"Oh my god woman make up your mind!" *Crunch*

"If those earrings are in our base, they would most definitely be somewhere safe. Like in the vault. Or in possession of one of our leading members, like with Wonderwoman or Aqua Man. If anything they would be the safest with one of them. I know for a fact Wonderwoman would never let anyone get a hold of something that powerful."

"I'm not going up there, and I will fight you both if you try to **** me."

"Finally some action! Alright, Superman let's-"

"So then what do you want us to do? We won't be able to believe you without Wonderwoman's lasso of truth."

"I say you call her and ask her to bring it down here."

"I would, but we're having an-" I figured she doesn't need to know about the people we invited to the Watchtower. Just in case if she's planning something.

*Crunch* "There's no way we would stoop down to meet your terms-"

*Sigh* "Alright I'll call her."

"What!"

This open expo is going horribly; I bet those people are having the worst day of their lives...
