You make dinner with some help.

"Hi, girls!" greets Lisa after she follows you into your apartment.

"Hey, Lisa!" your roommates cheer.

"I'm going to help Mark make dinner if that's okay with you?" your neighbor asks.

"Be our guest," Jen replies. "I don't cook."

"Oh, we know!" her girlfriend laughs.

You lead Lisa to the kitchen and set up the ingredients for your planned meal. Her mom taught her how to cook so she could take care of herself when she moved out of the house. While the two of you cook, you chat about your jobs, hobbies, and dating scene, and your laughter catches the attention of Sara.

"What's so funny, guys?" Sara asks after popping her head into the kitchen.

"Oh, I joked that my last boyfriend ran on batteries," Lisa giggled.

"You dated him as well?" your roommate jokes. However, you sense that she seems to be a bit insecure you are enjoying your time with your cute next door neighbor.

"As much as I like to hear you girls compare the sizes of your electric 'boyfriends' we should get dinner ready," you interject. "Tell the girls it should be ready in ten minutes."

"Great, I'm starved!" Sara replies. She leaves for a moment, only to return to stand at the doorway to watch you and Lisa cook.
