Jolted Up!

You gasp for air as hard as you can as your body shoots high into the sky. "Ahhhhhhhhh!!!" you suck in the oxygen around you as you throw yourself high in the bed you're laying in. "Ahhh god!!" you grunt out, gasping for air over and over again before collapsing back into the bed.

To your surprise it doesn't hurt as much as you thought. As your eyes look down over your body you can see that you are shirtless and sitting in leather pants "No way..." you grumble out, thinking of your dream. You look at your abs, the muscles bulging out and looking as good as can be, yet as you look at your left pectoral muscle you can see that there is just a slight red scarred "x" where you knew the arrow was penetrating your chest

Once more your vision looks around the room and you notice many expensive velvet drapes across the bed posts you were laying beneath. You felt the super soft cotton bed laying below you. As you pushed yourself up with your elbows and looked around the room you saw much gold, bronze and expensive pieces of fabric coating the entire room. "Ugh...fucking Rathkin." you grumble out as you rub your head.

You were alone but at the moment you didn't care one bit. "Claire..." you smile, thinking of your dream. With a quick spin of your legs you throw them off the bigger than normal bed and hold them in that spot for a few moments. You take a few deep breaths as your mind spins and wavers in circles. "Ahhh..." you groan suddenly as your body wobbles back and forth from feeling extremely light headed.

It's at that point the door opens up and with a quick glance to your left you see Lexie's petite face staring into the ground with a mopey face as her eyes trail on the floor. You just grin at her but don't say a word as she just looks absolutely miserable but never looks up at you directly.

Eventually as she gets closer to the bed her eyes slowly angle upward towards the bed. Instead of your lifeless body being flat on the bed and not moving she almost does a double take as her eyes go wide with shock as she sees you looking back at her.

"OH MY GOD!!!" she squeals from the top of her lungs "YOU'RE AWAKE!!!" she immediately sprints over in your direction and lunges into your bed without any hesitation colliding with your body causing you to release a soft chuckle at the ever happy women.

"Ahh, ahh, ahhhh!" you mumble out, "Still a bit sore!" you tease as you try to push her away just an inch.

"Darien." she bears a toothy smile "Thank the Syndicate Suns!!!"

"Lexie" you look into her face seeing that intoxicating smile "Hi!"

"Hi?!" she laughs "Hi?! That's it?!" she chuckles again "Come here!!" she wraps her hands around the back of your head, pulling you in hard "I thought...I thought..." you see her eyes start to fill with happiness as she basically attacks into your face with loving kisses. Smooching you all over your lips, cheeks, forehead and eyes. "Oh my lord! Oh my Syndicate! Thank you thank you thank you!!!" she is almost suffocating you with kisses.

"Haha, Lexie! Calm down calm down! I'm okay, I'm okay!" you rebuttal into the loving Sunrider.

"Oh my Syndicate...." she stops her **** on your face before throwing her body into yours even harder, holding you tight "O-Oh my..." you hear her sniffle "I-I thought I lost you..." her arms grip you tighter. "I was starting to lose..." she sniffles again "starting to lose faith."

You comfort Lexie in your body as you think about Claire's words in your dream "I have so much more to fight for Lexie. I can't leave you yet." you bring your head down, resting it on the top of Lexie's.

The two of you sit there on that comfortable bed for such a long time as Lexie just continues to hold you dearly. It isn't before she backs her body away and smacks you in the arm that you throw her a questionable look "Don't you ever do that to me again!!" her face turns immediately to anger "Promise me!" she smacks you again and again "Don't you dare!!! Promise me!!" her **** on your arm continues.

"Ow ow ow ow!" you laugh before grabbing a hold of both her wrists. "Come on now, it was just a minor wound, it wasn't that bad!" you say with joy as your eyes long back at the loving Sunrider, seeing her look of of happiness slowly morph into fear and sadness "Lexie, it's okay." you smile at her before your eyes drift down to her stomach and something seems off. Her stomach definitely seems a little bigger than she was just the other day when you got back to the Rathkin castle. Your head tilts as you squint your eyes, thinking they are playing tricks on you.

"Umm..." you lick your lips as you look into your soon-to-be wife "I, uhh... How umm..."

The quizzical look on your face causes Lexie to look down at her stomach before she swallows hard. She knew what was on your mind and didn't know the best way to relay that information to you.

"Lexie..." you begin as your hand goes into her own, feeling her slightly bigger stomach "How..." you pause briefly "How long was I out for?"
