Bandit Bloodbath

Lexie knew she didn't need to help but she decided she wanted to have some fun herself so with her short sword ready, she turned to one of the single bandits to the side and readied herself to face him.

In the mean time, you continued your march towards the leader and his friend, with the third one off to your side.

"Now you die you piece of...Ahhhhh!" the leader leaps to the side as you quickly slash into him, his friend lunges forward, trying to catch you off guard while you're attacking in. You bring your dagger up, reflecting his blade backwards at him before slashing at the leader a few more times, he's able to duck and weave your attacks.

The third one joins in, slashing at you from behind which you are able to lunge forward, rolling out of his attack and pushing yourself up back to your feet right afterwards, turning around one eighty degrees, having all three warriors now right in front of you.

"Ahhh!!" the three charge you, swinging their blades almost wildly and uncoordinated, trying their best to just get a lucky blow on you.

It isn't long before you are able to glance your short sword off one of their swords, slicing it up the edge until it connects with the guard of his sword, pushing down tons of **** into his grip. Bringing your dagger up to block another oncoming attack you pivot to the side, pulling your short sword out from one of the bandit's guards before slashing back in, wounding one of the bandits greatly across his chest, causing him to fall to the ground.

"You'll pay for that!" the leader screams out, attacking into you even harder. You block his sword quite easily once more with your dagger but it left you open for attack from your side. The other bandit slashes in at you, connecting with your side. You feel a scratch of pain in your side as it appears your armor withheld most of the damage but possibly a bit of the edge broke through your walls.

Quickly leaping backwards you crouch down slightly, ready to lunge either direction depending on the ****. The leader once more leaps forward, ready to attack. As his right arm goes high in the air to swing down his blade, you lunge your body to the lower left, rolling off the sandy ground before pushing yourself up on your feet. With the dagger positioned perfectly as you leap up from the group, your dagger completely slices through the leader's side. He falls to the ground, screaming in pain, both his hands go to his side, gripping just below his rib cage.

"Ahh...oh fuck..." the third bandit begins to hesitate.

"Ahhhhhh!" you hear another male scream from behind you. Your head quickly pivoting to see Lexie thrusting her blade straight through the stomach of a bandit who is now on his back, in the ground, the sword now basically pinning him in place.

The last remaining non-wounded bandit just starts to cower down slightly, fear filling his eyes. You see him swallow hard.

"Drop your weapon..." you mumble in a low voice "And get the fuck outta here." you tell him.

"Yes...yes Darien!" he throws his sword into the sand below and takes off in a dead sprint in the opposite direction.

"FUCKING COWARD!!!" the leader screams out as he sees his ally running in fear "FUCK!" he shouts one more time.

You just walk up slowly to the leader, placing your short sword back into your waist as you keep your dagger out, twirling it in your fingers as you kneel down next to the leader as he continues to hold his side, blood still pouring into the soil below "So tell me. Who put a bounty on my head?" you ask him.

"Fuck you!" he snarls.

You take your dagger and jam it down into his calf, piercing into his muscle as you slowly start to turn the dagger slightly in a clockwise motion. The edge of your dagger, the tip, all tearing into his skin, his muscles, his veins. "AHHHHH STOP STOP!!!" he screams out loud.

"Who put a bounty on my head?" you ask again.

"Ahh...Fuck! I don't...I don't know!" he cries out "Just...word traveled fast to bring your head to Loner's Reach and claim a huge prize." he weeps a little more, growling at you "Fuck you!"

Lexie walks up to him, looking down at the wounded man "I told you you fucked up."

"Just...let me go. Please. I'll leave you and your whore alon...."

You end his life. Quickly pulling your dagger form his calf up to his mouth, stabbing your blade directly into his mouth, silencing him instantly.

"I don't get it...who or why would put a bounty on your head?" Lexie questions.

"Rathkin maybe? Edmin? I have no clue."

"We just left Edmin not even a day ago...no way could word spread that fast. It's like...they put a bounty on your head days ago."

"Maybe someone in Murnic? Or someone in Rathkin after we took over the Kingdom? Not sure..."

"We need to get back to Rathkin fast now...once we're back with the Sunrider's you'll be safe again."

"True and then once I get to Rathkin I'm going to learn everything I can about this...Loner's Reach. Maybe I can...negotiate or something."

"Doubt it. Nothing but scum lives there. From what I've heard anyway."

"Either way...let's wait for our tigers to get back, keep your eyes open, and when they get back, we take a little rest, then continue our journey south." you nod at Lexie "I'd love to stay and rest more...but now I'm worried. Not only just about myself, but now worried about you."

"Oh Darien, we're all good." she smiles at you, happy as can be. "It's gotta be pretty random that there was just four bandits here. I doubt there are thousands of bandits roaming the world, probably just a few here or there."

"Still, it puts you in danger..." you walk up to Lexie, a hand dropping down to her stomach "And him..."

Both her hands go on top of your hand, as her eyes look up at you "Him?" she smirks "How do you know it isn't a her?" she teases.

You show her a wink and then lean forward, giving Lexie a kiss on the lips as you then turn her to her side and walk over to some green trees by the River. "Let's get cleaned up and wait for our tigers" you smile "I could use a nap...I hope they get back soon!"
