Back To The North!

You made some quick arrangements before you left Murnic. Making sure Karisi had safe passage to Rathkin, questioning Zoe and letting her know if she and her family want to return to Rathkin and be with Ashe for the time being they could. You let her know that afterwards hopefully they can all make their way north. Lastly, you told a couple Sunrider's to relay certain messages to Ashe in regards to your journey back North.

After all was said and done, you grabbed enough rations for the trip back north, hopped on your tiger and away you went.

The overall ride itself was quite uneventful and felt awfully boring. Even though you can make it in easily half the time it took you to march down this way, still, being alone with your tiger meant for long boring days and even longer boring nights. Being alone by yourself just allowed your mind to race against all the possibilities of what could await you back in the Syndicate. Will the whole city be burned to the ground? Will Lexie be okay? Will Lord Edmin be king? Will the civilians rebel? So many questions and the entire ride alone, it made you almost lose your mind at certain points.

Riding through out the Night, the full day and the most of the next night, you finally made it back to the Syndicate. With the mountain high in the horizon and the stone structures of the Syndicate sticking out, first look around seemed everything looks okay. Nothing was really destroyed besides the main gate, which just like what you did to Rathkin, they destroyed it. There was a handful of corpses scattered across the front gate but at least there wasn't any smoke rising from the city, which meant it should be safe.

With your weapons still sheathed around your waist and your hood now draped over your head you hop of your tiger "Okay girl, you gotta go. I don't want anything to happen to you." you brush the side of her head, looking into her eyes "I'll come find you when I finish up here...it may...be a little while though. Okay?" you nod at her before bringing your head in, giving her a kiss on the bridge of her nose "Now go!"

And just like that, your tiger turns around and sprints off into the distance, making her way far away from the Syndicate, making sure she's safe from anything Rathkin might have planned. With that, you walk the rest of the way towards the gate of the Syndicate, keeping your weapons down upon your waist but your hood still covering your face.

It isn't long before a dozen Rathkin warriors come out of the gate, standing in a line ahead of the gate, their weapons drawn, holding a line.

"Oh my god...it's him..." a warrior mumbles out, holding his weapon at the ready.

"Be on guard warriors! Don't underestimate him!" another shouts, stepping next to his friend.

"Should we get more help?!" One mumbles out, almost shivering in his armor.

You hold your arms up in the air, surrendering to these warriors "I'm here to see, Lord Edmin, I believe it is." you begin "Take me too him..." you turn your head side to side, looking at the dozen warriors "Now, please."

After a long stand off, a couple of warriors end up pushing one of the warriors ahead of the others, making him get closer to you. As he steps your direction he's scared, he doesn't want to get close to you.

"I'm not going to harm you." you say to him, trying to calm his fears "I just need to speak with Edmin."

"Rii...right this way, sir." he nods as he steps to your side, guiding you through the gate and around the remaining soldiers.

Walking through the Syndicate wasn't as bad as you thought. A few dead Sunrider's and Warriors but very few. You were scared for Lexie, hoping she didn't take up arms "I need to make a quick pit stop before the castle." you tell the guard to your side.

"Uhh...I don't...I don't know if that's a good idea." he mumbles out as he turns to look behind him, four more guards follow behind, far enough away but still following.

"Don't worry, it's on the way, just for a minute please..."

"Umm, okay sure. But just a minute, then we get back to our path to the castle!"
