Chapter 30

Can the ladies land a pirate?
It certainly seems that way.
Johanna in her arms, Elara dropped effortlessly to the forest floor. Johanna planted her boots firmly on the ground and nodded to Elara. Elara smiled back and leaped away, a blur of motion disappearing into the thick jungle treetops.
The pair had decided to not-quite split up this morning, with Johanna carving a path on the ground while Elara circled her position from above. Hopefully, Johanna figured, Bone would catch sight of Johanna first, which should give Elara a good opportunity to get the drop on the pirate, and prevent him from ambushing Johanna.
Johanna fumbled with the pouch of sand as she walked. Yesterday, the search for Bone had proved fruitless, but he couldn’t stay in hiding forever. Sooner or later, Johanna knew, he would show up, and when he did, she would be waiting for him.
A sound from behind her caused Johanna to spin in place, but she saw only a tree. Muscles tensed, she approached the location where she heard the noise. A broken twig lay on the jungle floor, and after a quick check to the left and right, Johanna bent down to investigate closer.
“There’s that sexy ass, again.”
Johanna froze. The now-too-familiar voice of Bone came from directly behind her. So much for Elara getting the drop on him before he could approach her. Still, there was no time for hesitation. “Hello, Bone,” Johanna said, standing up in place and stealthily loosening the straps that held the pouch shut with her hand, “I can’t say I missed you.”
Bone was closer now. She could hear his footstep, just behind her, within striking range. In one fluid motion, Johanna spun in place and whipped the pouch forward, emptying its contents in the face of the surprised pirate. Before realizing what had happened, Bone had inadvertently inhaled a faceful of Elara’s **** dust, and gotten some in his eyes as well.
“Shit! What- oh, fuck.” Bone went from angry to disoriented to dizzy in a matter of seconds. Johanna took a step away from the dusty pirate, not wanting to accidentally inhale any of the dust herself, when Elara dropped down a few yards behind Bone.
“Good job, Johanna,” She said, taking a few steps forward and snapping the iron collar around Bone’s thick neck. The large man turned, stumbling, and tried to swat at Elara but she easily dodged the clumsy blow and aimed a kick at his knee, sending him to the ground in a heap.
Johanna approached the helpless pirate, and regarded him with anger and relief. “That was easier than I expected,” She admitted.
Elara waved a hand dismissively, “Of course it was easy. Look at him. Brawn and power and not a hint of intellect or sophistication. A brute, through and through.”
“Fugg… you,” Bone slurred, pulling himself to his hands and knees. Johanna placed a boot square on his back and **** him prone again.
“See, Johanna? Easy.” Elara crouched down and gripped Bone’s chin, turning his head this way and that as if inspecting a piece of fruit, “Strong, though, and easy enough on the eyes. We can have some fun with him, soon.”
Johanna thought of several things she wanted to do with Bone, but none of them seemed especially fun. At least not for him. “And you think he’ll stay put this time?”
“Ain’t… shtaying… fuggin’, ah!”
Bone’s intoxicated ramblings were cut short with another well-placed boot, and Elara chuckled. “I have a closer, more secure location from him, this time. He’ll stay put. Besides,” She reached down and effortlessly hauled the giant mass of naked pirate up to her shoulder, “Soon, he’ll understand his place. Wait here, Johanna, I won’t be long.”
And then Elara was off once more, captive in tow, flying across the jungle. Johanna had a pretty good idea about the plans Elara had in mind for Bone, but it would still be nice seeing them play out. After all, delivering Bone to a secure prison had been her mission long before arriving on the island. Fate had changed the details, but things were finally falling into place...
