You decide to leave while you are ahead, especially since you now have a new enchanted dagger to potentially sell. It takes a while, but you eventually find your way out of the sewer and back to the city proper. As you walk, you see people passing by turn and gag... more so than just the normal racist amount too. After taking a sniff of yourself, you realize why. You smell rancid, a gift of the sewers no doubt. You head to the nearest river and strip, first washing your clothes and then your gear. When you dip your new dagger in the water, to your surprise it turns the water around it into ice! You lift up the ice encrusted dagger, glad your suspicions were correct, and break away the ice to put it away.

After cleaning all appropriate gear and finding a good place to stash them, you take a dip yourself, cleaning yourself the best you can. The water feels amazing on your sore muscles, and you take your time to relax in the cool flow, while being careful not to drift too far down stream. Once both you and your gear have dried, you head to the guild to collect your reward.

Heading through the front door of the guild with more confidence than before, you notice the guild is bustling with activity. All the tables are filled with adventurers celebrating recent accomplishments with food and drink. It is amazing to watch, as races and classes of all types are merrily getting along.

You walk up to the counter to report your accomplishments. The lady behind the counter, this time a gentle elderly human, helps you fill all the report forms as she collects the tails to count as well as the dead adventurers badge. Looking up the poor soul, she sees he was a new adventurer that was the fourth son of a wealthy family. They may try to contact you later to confirm the details of his **** or reward you, but that is if they cared about him. You collect your reward, 5 silvers and 8 coppers, and smile as you can now truly call yourself an adventurer. You could check the board for more, celebrate your accomplishment, or go tell your mentor how you did.
