A message from Cliffe:
There are a couple of things that I want to get to before the start of the next arc and please do read through all of this.I know it can kind of be like slogging through work to read messages like this, but it's important.

The first thing is that in case you haven't noticed, I have a tendency to try and avoid answering comments or questions on Chyoa itself. It isn't a problem with the readers or the site, it's just simply easier for me to answer questions on the story's discord server. It makes it so I don't have to go around searching for questions or the person who asked me a question because most of them are all in a single, specific place. It is nice to pop in and see new comments on my most recent chapters, but if you have a question then by all means ask me in the discord.

If you want access to the discord to ask me or another author a question, then just message one of the authors for a link to the discord.

Easy as "Can I get the discord link?" Copy and paste.

Secondly, we have the case of writing itself. If you like the story and want to see more of it and see me continue writing, then please consider supporting me on Patreon. Every little bit helps and I have a number of benefits available to the people who do support me. One minor example of this is the ability to read a chapter ahead of the public version. If you want an immediate answer to what happens after a 'Cliffe'hanger, then pledging as a patron is a good way to get that and that's just one part of it. I have it set up so you can participate in Q&A's where you can ask questions, random or important, of characters in the story and I'll reply to you in the way they would, planned polls for commissioned art, access to all of the intermissions with Mary and other characters in the story immediately, and even character or monster creation for the people who pledge high enough! Thirdly, in case you haven't somehow noticed all of the other advertisements that the authors put up for polling, then you should know that we have some! We have polls where, you, the readers can vote on your favorite characters, favorite fight scenes, and favorite sex scenes! Voting in them not only helps to let your opinion be heard but it can also help the writers! It tells us when we're doing something correctly with a character's development and when we are doing it wrong. If you want to assist us more, then please by all means jump into the discord server and join in on the voting! Tell us when you like something or a certain moment might have given you the shivers. Feedback is always appreciated.

Brief Q&A:

"Why was Cassandra staring at John in class if she didn't know anything?"
Probably because he had nearly just started an accidental fire in the middle of class.

"Why does John's barrier have so many races in it when most barriers only have one type of enemy?"
An easy question to answer, but the answer could spoil things. This will be answered on its own in the very near future. Until then, the most I will say is that the barrier is listed as a kingdom, if you've read enough of the other branches you might know what that means already. If not, keep watching.

"How did the blank destroy Moira's 'indestructible' shield?"
Well firstly, it's hard for me to imagine anything is truly indestructible, even in a fantasy world like this one. Secondly, part of what made the shield so durable was its enchantment... a magical enchantment. If this doesn't clue you in enough to realize the answer, you may have to wait for it to come up in the story because that is also a spoiler.

"That was a really short break between arcs! How and why did you come back so soon?"
I finished the first Arc a little while ago. I've had a few weeks for a break already. Believe me, it was a lot longer than you think. The editing process and random scheduling for releasing chapters is usually what helps to give me a safety net with my writing.
