Head out with the others

"Let's go check out the town a bit." You say to Janessa. Her face perks up at that and she rewards you with an adorable smile.

On your way out of the castle, a guard walks over to you three and stops you with a hand gesture. "Halt. Which of you is the blade user?" He demands in an authoritative but otherwise unoffensive tone.

You and Kent make eye contact, wondering what this is about. After a brief pause, you nod your head at the man. "I am Myrmidon John. How may I be of service?" You ask. A little too formal for your liking, but you desire to make a good impression.

The guard looks you up and down for a moment. Seemingly appraising you. After a few moments the guard turns to go down the thin side page that he appeared from. And waves you over. "John, is it? Come with me." He does not wait for a reply.

You quickly look over to your two friends. "Well, I guess they felt my evening of rest was unneeded." You say with a smirk. "I'll see you too later. Save some ale for me, Kent!" And with that you quickly turn to follow the fast-disappearing guard down the slim corridor.

Kent calls after you: I'll get us some rooms, meet me at that inn we passed that had "the buxom raven" sign above it. It seemed lively but less busy than the others!"

You raise your hand in agreement as you jog away from your friends, still trying to catch up to the guard.
