You hold out an open palm to Venus, and she looks to Walter and Rose. "Can I see it?" you ask, referring to the syringe gun filled with nanobots. Venus hesitates, waiting for someone else to speak next.

Walter takes a step closer to you. "Mister mayor, I'm not sure you want to handle that. It's extremely expensive and valuable technology. It's the only working version we have, right Venus?"

"Well, we think it's the only working version."

"Didn't you fix the problem from before?"

"What was the problem?" you ask, still holding out your hand.

"The nanobots were dying, or running out of charge too quickly, so the test subject would lose the ability to control the suit in about 3 days, not a situation you want to have when it's being used out in the field. Imagine if you're in the middle of a battle and your invulnerable suit sudden falls apart."

"What about side effects?" you ask.

"No side effects. It's perfectly safe," Venus says.

Walter frowns at the assertion. "Venus, I told you not to say that."

"Why not? It's true. If it weren't, I wouldn't be testing it myself," she says, inching away from Walter and unknowingly towards you. You start to tune out the conversation as Venus and Walter bicker and Rose tries to interject and mediate the argument, focusing your attention on the syringe gun. As Venus gestures while speaking and holding the syringe gun, you wait patiently for her hands to stop moving, then reach out and grab it out of her hand. Your sudden action causes everyone to stop talking as they stare wide-eyed at you. You don't even hesitate, jabbing the sharp end of the syringe gun through your sleeve and injecting yourself with the nanobots.
