Chapter 76 by keron keron

What's going on?

The suit

"Yes, and no," Venus says, picking up a metal piece from the cabinet and handing it to you. You take the piece and examine it, noticing the nearly invisible wiring and circuits that seem to cover the metal. You can't quite tell what you're holding. It's not exactly a piece of circuitry or part of an armor.

"I don't get it," you concede after a while.

Venus takes the piece back and sets it aside. "Well, it's not like the suits that everyone thinks of when they think Iron Man. At least, not the first, primitive version where the suit is pre-built and you step into it. No, that technology we accomplished 3 years ago and the Army already has them in the field."

"They do?"

This is when Walter interrupts. "They... do. We just don't advertise it, and they'd prefer it to stay that way, if you don't mind, mister mayor."

"Of course. Continue, please," you motion to Venus.

"Yes. That was the primitive version. What I've done here, is that later version where Iron Man can just create a suit around himself at command. Where the parts just fly off the shelf and merge onto him and he's ready to go."

"That sounds like science fiction or fantasy," you say, realizing the irony as you stand there with your 5 magic rings. "How do you do that?"

Venus picks up the syringe gun and holds it up for you to see closer. You stare at the tube and notice the silver substance is indeed moving and alive.

"What is that?" you ask.

"Nanobots. Millions of nanobots, programmed to sync with these parts," Venus points at the cabinet, "and mold and use them in anyway, according to what the user wants."

"And it works?"

Venus looks insulted that you'd even ask that question. "Of course," she snaps.

What do you do?
