Looking into Murnic.

The three of you walk in the darkness up the hill, walking in a line, being as quiet as possible even though you are far enough away from the city for anybody to even hear. A minute goes by before you reach the peak of the hill, looking down onto the small little town of Murnic.

"So, the whole town is surrounded by a somewhat small wooden wall, so there are only two ways into the town." Hawk begins "It makes it a little tougher to take over, but also makes it much easier to make sure no Rathkin civilians or warriors escape and make it back to Rathkin to warn of the oncoming assault." his hand is pointing around the city.

"Good good..." you nod, looking down onto the town.

"Should be easy, send one group into one entrance, another into the other. Have a few groups patrol the outskirts around the edges and see if anybody tries to climb the wall to make a run for it, they will hunt them down and take care of them as needed."

"Wow...such a detailed plan "you think to yourself, rolling your eyes "Sounds good." you say out loud to Hawk. "Status report on guards? Any idea how many people are in the walls? Also, any certain structures we should be aware of?"

"A tower at each entrance, two guards per tower, most likely with bows and arrows. A handful inside the walls. No more then probably 30 or so total Rathkin warriors." Hawk begins "People in the town is estimated to have around 500 in total. We can imagine at least a quarter of those people will pick up arms and try to fight as well, which means we're looking at about 30 well trained warriors and about 125 unarmored most likely not very trained civilians."

"Should be pretty simple odds, especially since we'll get the drop on them." you mention.

"Exactly. As for places of interest. Not many, the blacksmith on the edge of town" he points towards one of the sides "Stores lots of spare weapons and armors. Be best to probably take control of that first so any civilians that don't have weapons can't go there and get weapons. After that, possibly the tavern. It's constantly full day in and day out so chances of it being full of warriors, thugs or bandits that actually know some fighting technique is high."

"Fair enough. I'll take one entrance with a huge force, Ashe will lead another in the other entrance. We'll have another handful flank along the southern wall and another handful flank along the northern wall to make sure no one jumps the wall and runs. Sound reasonable, Ashe?" you ask your Sunrider.

"Sounds perfect. Should be easy." she nods

"Anything else you'd like to point out?" you ask Hawk.

"No." he says with a stern voice.

"And now you're game plan...?" you question.

"Heading south with my group. We're going to scout out Rathkin as well. Possibly sneak inside the kingdom and see what we can do."

"You know we're staying here in Murnic for a few days to rest before we head to Rathkin yeah? Stay here if you'd like for a day, rest up after we clear the city for you." you couldn't help but throw those words at him.

"Places to go, people to see." is all he lets out as he turns around, walking back down the slope towards the treeline in the darkness.

You hear Ashe take a deep breath as the two of you continue to look over the city of Murnic "You ready for this?" you ask

"Let's do this." she places her left hand on your right shoulder, ready to finally get some action in.
