The March Continues

You woke up after a few hours of good rest, Ashe still peacefully snoring on your chest, a tiny strand of drool pooling on your shirt. The sun is now raising high into the sky and you know there won't be much time until you need to continue your southern march. After another long twelve hours or so, you should finally reach the outskirts of Murnic.

Slowly packing up, you greet with your Sunriders once more before eventually splashing your face off one more time in the Turth river and ordering your warriors to get things moving again.

"Here we go again!" you smile at Ashe as you leap up on your tiger, ready to enjoy the long haul one more time. "Ready for it?"

Ashe just nods at you as she does the same, pulling herself up on her own tiger.

As you find a spot to cross over, more and more Sunriders fall in line behind you, crossing over a shallow spot of the easterly flowing river so your army can continue to march south.

Back on the trail you go, except this time it was a lot better and not as hot. After passing south of the Turth river, much of the sand of the desert slowly started to turn more and more green. No longer did the sun reflect off the neutral sand, bouncing back on your body causing even more heat. Now you had plenty of shrubs and trees to help absorb and block much of the sun rays.

"Hey Darien" Ashe begins, riding her tiger up really close to your side "About last night..."

"Ashe, thank you." you cut her off.

She looks quite shocked and raises an eyebrow "Huh? What for?"

"For trusting me." you nod at her and give a grin "I know that must have been tough to talk about. So thank you. You truly mean a lot to me, I hope you know that."

She just smiles at you for a few. "Ya know...the more I get to know you. The more I'm actually kind of jealous of Lexie."

You let out a deep belly laugh. "Oh Ashe."

"I'm serious!" she exclaims "You're charming, you are ruggedly handsome, you got a great dick, you're strong, your fighting is insanely good, you fight for what you believe in, you care about people, you've saved multiple Sunriders many times, you know how to treat a girl right and...did I say you've got a great dick yet?"

"You said that already." you laugh again at her.

"Well!" she laughs back at you "You are seriously the perfect catch. No wonder Lexie didn't take any pregnancy herbs, she wanted to lock you in!"

"Oh stop it." you roll your eyes.

"I'm being serious! If I would have known you were this amazing, maybe I would have done the same thing!" she chuckles "I mean, I've been with a lot of different men, but the things you did to me...unbelievable!" she exaggerates.

You just let out a giant sigh "Oh Ashe...I'm sure you'll find that perfect somebody."

"Yeah yeah yeah, but until then, I'll just keep using you!" she laughs out loud once again before suddenly sitting a little straighter on her tiger and glancing at you with a look of determination "Seriously though Darien. Thank you."

You just nod at your High Commander as you watch her back away on her tiger.

The march continues through out the day, no issues come up at all which is a good thing. The sun sets, causing it to be even better, less hot and covers your entire force in darkness. It isn't until it's completely dark once more, the crescent moon guiding your path as you start to see lights off in the distance, most likely fires or torches trying to keep parts of the small little city lite.

"Murnic..." you think to yourself.

Over the next hill you should be starting to close in on the city. As you continue your march forward, you see to the right, an arrow shoot high into the sky towards your direction, not high enough to go over the hill and attract attention from Murnic, but high enough that you would notice it. The tip of it on fire as it scours through the air,

"Huh?" Ashe replies "What was that?"

"Our scouts." you say.

You turn around, ordering your warriors to stop. "Stay here." you command "Ashe and myself are going forward to talk to our scouts. Relay that message back. Do not move. Do not make noise. We will be back soon."

The Warriors nod and start turning around, relaying the message back down the giant line of the Syndicate Army.

"Ashe, let's go." you nod at her before turning around towards the direction the flaming arrow came from.
