The beast, now deceased

In front of her laid a clearing, the grass-clad ground broken up several boulders that shot up into the air.

Against one of these boulders, the beast that Lillian had been running from was placed, three more crossbow bolts having pierced his skin, one of them stuck in his throat.

Except for the wounds caused by the bolts, it was easy for Lillian to see that he had also received several stabs and cuts. Lillian easily determined that the beast was dead.

And around the boulder which the beast had died on stood three figures, which had now spotted Lillian.

The first one of them that she took notice of was male halfling, who had aimed the heavy crossbow that he carried towards Lillian when she appeared from out of the forest.

Next there was a tall, hulky half-orc dressed in a simple codpiece, a pair of sturdy boots and a thick leather jerkin. In his hands he held a heavy, mean-looking sword.

The third character was a human female, dressed exclusively in tight brown leather and she too holding a crossbow in her hands, a sword placed on her back.
She had long blonde hair and a beautiful face, with a pair of lush red lips that were parted as she mouth had formed into a sneer as Lillian had appeared.

“Look, it’s the slut who was getting it from the Stalker!” The halfling said, lowering his crossbow while his mouth formed a lecherous grin.
“Halt!” The half-orc bellowed at Lillian, who was unsure of how to act for now and therefore remained still.
“Come here!” The half-orc continued to bellow at Lillian, who slowly walked into the clearing.
“Look at them titties! I could suck on them for a day!” The halfling seemed to have made up his mind on what he wanted to do with Lillian. Hopefully, the half-orc and the human would be a little more civilized.
“Fuck that, you pervert. I say we kill her and leave her here.” Well, hopefully the half-orc would be a little more civilized. Because the human seemed even more unfriendly than the halfling.
“Are you stupid!?” The halfling protested the human’s suggestion. “We’ll fuck her and then haul her back to Tabriz, selling her to Koster!” Great, now they were planning to sell her as a ****. Daring their crossbows by turning and running away started to seem like a good idea to Lillian.
“Shut up!” The half-orc screamed at his two companions.

“Biggs, you cut up the Stalker! And make sure that you get it right this time!” He told the halfling, who muttered in disappointment as he dropped the crossbow and drew a long, thin knife with a slightly curved blade.
“Zhira!” The half-orc had now turned to the human female, “Check the area around here, see if you can spot more pray.” The female nodded in recognition of what the half-orc had said, shot Lillian a hateful look and ran of into the woods.

“Now, little girl” The half-orc approached Lillian, his heavy body towering over her, “You an elf?”
“No, I’m from the city.” Lillian replied, uneasy over the fact that out of the three, one wanted to sell her into slavery while another one wanted to kill her there and then.
“Tabriz? What you doing here then?”
“It’s a long story.”
“Ain’t got time for no long stories.” The half-orc said and then pushed Lillian further into the clearing, where Biggs was now busy carving up the armpits and genitals of the creature.

“Shit, boss! There’s enough of him for the witchdoctors to cook a gallon of aphrodisiac on! We’ll make a bundle on this one!” The rather unsavoury halfling said as he sliced up the crotch of the creature.
“Good work, Biggs.” The half-orc replied, the tone of how he had said “Biggs” quite clearly demonstrating that Biggs was an underling, not a friend.

While Biggs finished his grisly work, Zhira returned and informed the half-orc that there was nothing else nearby. Thereafter, the three prepared to leave, packing up the parts that they had cut from the beast.

“Now,” the half-orc said to Lillian, “I suggest that you come with us.” The tone of voice implied that it was more of an order than a suggestion.
