A waterfall can ruin your day

Lillian’s head broke the surface and she gasped for air, filling her lungs with it while water and spit came out the same way.

Looking back over her shoulder, she could see that the creature had moved up the river, making his way across it where the current was calmer.

That same current was carrying Lillian with it, she now realised. And in front of her, she could hear the sound of water falling.

She had been right, there was a waterfall nearby, and now she was being **** towards it!

Lillian made a **** effort to swim against the current and reach the shore, but she soon realised that it was of no use. Instead, she prepared herself for the fall.
Soon, she could the point up ahead where the water began to foam and then turn into thin air.

As she reached the waterfall, Lillian braced herself and closed her eyes, and just a few seconds later she could feel the sensation of falling downwards, the cool water showering over her as she fell with it.

Lillian felt a large smack as her body hit and the broke the surface, once again being swallowed up by the river. Opening her eyes again, she could see that she had landed just between two large rocks, both of which reached up to just a foot below the surface.
If she had fallen just a couple of feet more to the right or left, she would have been dead by now, crushed against the heavy stones.

Shuddering at the thought of such an end to her life, Lillian swam ashore and staggered up on the riverbed, falling down on the ground and catching her breath.
Looking back up at the fall once she had done so, Lillian figured that the current had transported her at least five hundred yards away from the creature.

Not much, but it was something at least. Add to that the fact that the creature was under attack from somebody, and Lillian’s chances of getting away were pretty good.
Getting back up on her rather shaky feet, Lillian set of into the woods.

Of course, the fact that she was stark naked slowed her travelling down considerably, forcing her to be constantly vigilant about where she put her exposed feet each time that she took a step. She wasn’t making good progress at all. This worried her greatly, for if the beast could catch her scent again, he would soon be able to track her down and capture her again.

After an hour of slowly working her way through the dense forest, Lillian pushed past a shrubbery and then stopped dead in her tracks, surprised by the sight in front of her.
