With a glance you see that after spending a decent amount of time in that cell your stubble had transformed into the beginnings of a beard. However, the fact that it is going to get colder in the near months which will effect everything in some way. The infected might thrive or they will nearly crumble from the few food sources. But for now, they will spread like a wild fire does through states like California.

As soon as you get everything together you head out and lock the door and start to head to the edge of town. As you start to actually make progress you spot an infected already at work. With what looks like a man and an infected female and they are going at it like rabbits. The fact that you spot another makes you bail that much faster and as you get a few blocks away you stop to rest.

Once you reach the edge of town you find that the military are already stopping traffic and turning people away. You also see a military patrol start to make its way towards the town. You thankfully see them from around a mile away which makes it easy to avoid. The amount of people who were fleeing from the town and into the woods that were nearby was staggering to see and it made the town easy pickings.
