Well, since you are a scientist and the fact that you helped create this helps with your planning on what to do. The fact that there is almost no other local scientific materials even near you shows quite hard. Thankfully there is a local college that would have some of what is needed. Also the sample that you snagged from your lab before this all started will help the process. It might be your DNA or just a whole lot of luck so far, and you plan to test this.

You gather everything and start to leave but stop and lock up everything to hopefully have a home to come home to. The college will hopefully have a decent amount of food to help last the foreseeable future. This of course will not be true but hey better to hope for good and find mediocre then nothing. The infected have not gotten massively out yet but they will in only a few short ours. The roads will be packed so it might be a good idea to take a few extra moments to avoid mass amounts of people.

The forests will become packed with people because of people’s fears and facts that they learned. The cities after only a short-ish amount of time will turn into the safest places to live. But right now it is starting to turn into a place of **** and riots, which will draw everyone and thing. Many homes, thankfully yours will most likely be avoided, will be turned inside out and everything taken.
