A few days later...

You're back in the Syndicate now. You carried Claire's body out of Rathkin with you, towards the treeline until you met up with Tianna, Ashe, Lexie and a handful of other Sicilian warriors who were waiting. Everybody was just as devastated as you were, many tears were shed and the group came to the conclusion that they were all going to ride back to the Syndicate to give Claire...Luna the proper send off. You all rode off north towards the Syndicate again, leaving Rathkin behind. The Syndicate wanted to have a proper send off for Luna, which they tend to do to all their Sunrider commanders that have fallen. It would be a few days after you returned.

Lexie tried her best to entertain you through out the days after you returned. Being helpful, friendly, showing you around, training with you, but unfortunately you were completely numb. Depression was creeping up on you, Claire was the whole purpose of your journey. She was the main reason you were fighting for what you were doing. "What's the point now..." you constantly thought to yourself.

Your bravery was rewarded heavily when you returned. From rescuing Lexie, rescuing Ashe and attempting to rescue Luna as well. Unfortunately, no matter the distractions, you could only think of your sister. You tried your best to think of other things, you can't even recall the amount of random Syndicate women you slept with since you returned. They constantly threw themselves at you for the heroic deeds you did, but after the pleasure filled moments your mind quickly turned back towards your sister.

The day of the send off came quickly, almost the entire Syndicate population gathered down at the training grounds. A wooden platform built up on the Plateau where you first found Claire, where you first did battle with your sister. Her lifeless body, all dressed up, her makeup done well, her hair tied back in braids perfectly. She was laying on her back, her hands interlocking on her stomach, her eyelids closed, just laying there. Ashe knew you were the brother, she let Lexie and Tianna eventually know.

It was the second hardest day of your life, the first being the day she was taken from you by Rixx when he attacked your village. You stood by the wooden platform, looking at your perfect sister, her gorgeous body, her peaceful nature, her loving personality. "Claire...." you grumble out as you're standing alone on the plateau of the training grounds with a torch in your hand, thousands upon thousands of Syndicate warriors bundled on the grounds, watching their former commander's send off. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry I let you get taken from me. I wish I was faster. I wish I was stronger. I wish I could have protected you better. I love you, Claire. I already miss you so fucking much..." your head looks at the ground, tears falling "Thank you. Thank you for everything Claire. Thank you for being my light. Thank you for being my hope. Thank you for giving me a purpose in life." You sniffle hard before you wipe your arm under your nose, wiping away the snot forming. You almost couldn't do it, your left hand reaches up towards your head, rubbing your forehead, tears rushing down your face as you look at the lifeless body of your sister. "I love you Claire." you whisper to her still corpse "I love you....rest in peace." the tears plummet down, dripping down to the rock plateau below as you lower the torch onto the wooden bed, slowly igniting it as you then drop it and back away on the plateau, away from the flame, away from Claire. You can barely keep your eyes open they are so full of liquid, so full of sadness, so full of pain.

You step back on the entrance to the plateau. The bed lite up in flames quickly as Lexie grabbed onto your arm, her cheek rest against your shoulder "Darien...I"m sorry." you felt a warm drop of liquid fall on your bicep as her tears dribbled down your arm.

You watched on. Watched as the fire enveloped your sister's body. The flame bursting high into the clear night sky. So many stars glowing off in the distance, looking so magical. After the entire platform engulfed into flames, you just shook your head, looking on. Your body began to tremble, began to shake almost uncontrollably. Your head tilted down towards the ground as the heat of the flame warmed it, you closed your eyes, a few more tears dropping down below.

Lexie wrapped her arms around your waist "I'm sorry Darien" she kept saying "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." she hugged you hard "I wish I could do something..." she continued to comfort you.

You looked up, watching the body of your sister burn. Your eyes red and puffy as it's almost impossible to control your emotions. "I'm going to fucking kill him..." you mumble out as your body shook with rage.

"Darien?" Lexie whispers softly, still holding you around your waist, continuing to pull you tight, holding you deep, trying her best to comfort you.

Your sister is gone. Never able to talk with her again, never able to hug her, kiss her, joke with her, love her. She was gone. She was taken from you. Another tear rolls down your cheek as your eyes open wide, looking at the sparks raising high into the sky. The rage builds up in your body. You trembled in anger. Your blood boiled as you stared on. Sparks of Claire, rising high into the sky, ascending into the after life.

"I'm gonna fucking kill him..." your teeth clenched down as Claire's ashes extend high into the peaceful night sky...
