Chapter 7
by Vestra
Which path?..
Along the Mountain trail..
The swamp would be hard on the horse and on me. The mountain path would be easier regardless. Though it was a longer path it would get me there non the less. Camp fires and traveling. If Bram intended to catch up with me he never did. Perhaps he was a coward too. He seemed to fear Hore, it didn’t matter I would get her back and prove them all wrong.
The trail was bleak, but I was able to easily catch small game and defend against the pathetic wolves, rat men and other so called nasties that i ran across. My anger fueled me, and it didn’t let up. The more I travels the more angry I got.
Even the bandits whom even hero’s feared fell before me. I wasn’t simply fighting to get someone else’s cargo through, I didn’t care about my own life, even the bandits shown fear for their life when i started to fight. All I knew is I had to get to this Hore that was in that mountain peak.
It took three days travel to get there and finally in the crisp air of the mountain, was the gaping cavern entrance with wooden signs hastily pounded in place, smeared with mud “Hore, abandon all hope he who enter!”
I struck the sign down with a single blow of my blade and marched into the entrance. Even god himself would not stop me from getting her back.
