Fellow soldiers, thankfully…

After getting closer you see that this large group is made up of soldiers, and you also happen to recognize one of them as your squad leader from the military base. You run up to him, but he yells at you after signaling the other soldiers to spread out “halt and identify yourself.” You stop in your tracks and shout back “Roberts, it’s me, Jane!” which causes him to almost sprint right up to you. As soon as he reaches you he hugs you and then starts to introduce you to a lot of people that you have never met.

Most of them, after meeting you start to slowly leave you alone with Roberts but you both do not say anything as you travel with them. The only time you see any emotion out of them is when they point out a building or road. Some of the buildings almost seem to be changing in weird ways, which include full transformations or more subtle details like the curtains in windows morphing and swaying. Even a select few of the roads look as though there are traps laid out in different patterns each time.

After a few more streets you and the group turn down what looks to be a normal road except for the fact that two of the houses. These houses are right across the road from each other, almost forming an arch with 4 trees. As the group approaches, it started to slow down to a crawl as it entered this obvious trap but as you got near the first set of trees people started to talk about what to do.
