An unexpected visitor

Finally, you're back in the kitchen, much to Liz's dismay. This is your element. The chopping of vegetables. The sizzle of the pan. The slicing of meats and fish. Neither Taiga nor Sakura were coming over today. You and Liz were nearly done with making breakfast in record time when came a knock on the door.

You walk over to the door and slide it open to reveal a disheveled, panting Rin at your door. "Tohsaka!" You exclaim as Rin neatly collapses into your arms. Illya peers at you from the side, "Get a room, you two." You look over, embarrassed. "Seriously. Looks like she's in trouble. Her Mana reserves are pretty low."

You nod to Illya. "Right. Liz, get some tea and soup to eat." You say as you pick up Rin and carry her to a guest bedroom, tucking her into the sheets. Rin moans as you set her down. You turn your head to fetch the food and drink only to see Liz in the doorway with items on a serving tray. You nod and smile. "Thanks." as you place a warm towel on Rin's head.

You cradle Rin in your arms as you tilt her head up in an effort to try to have her drink some of the nutritious broth. Rin's eyes flutter open as you take her in your arms. "Shirou..." She whispers. "I'm here, Tohsaka. Rest easy. Drink this if you can." She nods and takes a small sip from a spoon as you lift it to her lips.

Most of your morning is spent here, waiting and tending to Tohsaka Rin.
