Separated for the Night

As you and El continue making out hot and heavy you can hear a commotion in the room with you. You didn't care, you and El were about to make love there and then. In front of everyone. Right now you just didn't care about anything else.

You hear your grandmother's voice, strained with exasperation. "Fiona...could you break those two up?"

"Yes Ma'am." Fiona says, happy to do so.

You feel as a pair of strong hands grab you by the shoulders and pulls you from your twin. You reach out to grab onto El but it all happens so fast she slips from your grasp.

Elsie!

Jesse!

Before your mind can really figure out what is happening you are just outside the living room with your older sister holding you by the shoulders and looking into your eyes.

"Which one are you?" She asks, her rising anger obvious in her stern voice and on her fierce beautiful features.

You smile at her. Despite everything you were so happy to see her. "Hi Fiona. I missed you!" You say in a goofy voice.

She reaches down and pinches your nipple...hard, in order to get your attention "Oooo!" You cry out, followed quickly by a giggle. "Ooo, that hurt Fiona."

"Then answer me. Are you El?" You might have thought it was funny, but she wasn't playing.

"Nuh uh." You and Elsie giggle in unison, she was still in the living room. Both your grandparents had her with them. They were trying to get her to cover up her exposed upper body. "You guessed wrong! He he he. You can't tell!" You say in a teasing voice.

"Perfect." Fiona says. "I've got Jesse. This was your idea wasn't it?" She grumbles. "Don't answer, I already know it was."

Your grandmother says. "Listen Fiona, we'll talk about all of this tomorrow. When everyone has come down." There is some more talk but you weren't really paying attention. Their voices just become background noise as you look over at your twin.

Everyone is so mad!

I know. Seemed like a good idea.

It was! I think...

It was a good dance.

You look back and continue to smile at Fiona. She was so tense! She needed to just chill out. "Want a brownie Fiona? A special brownie. He he he." You lean forward to kiss her. "God you're beautiful."

"Shut up!" She snaps as she pushes you back and holds you against the wall. Her hands were not gentle.

You hear your grandfather say. "Well, I don't think these two should spend the night together. The way they were...acting." He asks. "Could you take one of them with you Fiona? We'll take the other. Let's just get through the night so we can talk tomorrow. Chloe, you can stay in El's room."

Chloe chirps. "Sure Gramps! Me and my Muff, we'll have such fun."

Fiona sighs as if this was a great burden. "Fine, Jesse can stay with me tonight." She grabs you roughly by the shoulders and begins leading you up the stairs. She hisses in your ear. "Come on you stupid fuck."

"Oh boy!" You squeal with glee. You finally got to spend the night with Fiona! You almost trip as she none to gently manhandles you up the stairs. "Ow...not so hard Fiona...oof! Careful! Not so rough."

"Shut the fuck up. I am so fucking mad at you right now." She growls.

You look at her face. She wasn't kidding. That old cruel angry Fiona was back with a vengeance. She was a barely contained ball of fury. Oh no! You kept messing everything up! You wanted the new Fiona back!

"Fiona...I'm sorry...don't be mad." You say softly. "Please don't be mad. Why are you so angry?"

"Shut up!" She fixes you with a fiery glare. "Seriously Jesse, just shut...the fuck...up!"

You pout and cringe away from her as if she'd struck you. Her anger and harshness was so at odds with your previously intensely good feeling high it was almost painful to behold.

You wait as she unlocks her door, standing like a chastised child awaiting more punishment. Which you kind of were right now. Once the door was open she roughly shoves you into the room. Taking you by the shoulders she leads you to her bed and forces you to sit down on it.

"Don't fucking move!" She commands.

You sit with your hands on your lap, looking at her with open heartbreak. "Fiona...I didn't mean to make you mad. You're scaring me Fiona."

At those words Fiona freezes. Her hands were clenched at her sides. You see her take a deep breath as she tries to settle her boiling emotions. After a moment she returns to what she was doing. Pulling a set of handcuffs from her dresser she turns back to you. Taking your left arm she clacks one end of it to your wrist then the other to her headboard.

You say in a scared little voice. "Fiona...what's happening? Why are you doing this?"

She turns away from you, her fists once more balled up. "Jesse...I can't talk to you right now...I need...I need to go....calm down." Her shoulders are rising and falling with her deep breathing. "I'll be back later."

"Wait! Don't leave me alone!" You beg. "I don't want to be alone."

It was too late, she was gone. The door slams behind her and you hear the lock click.

You sit on your big sister's bed...alone. Your left arm was outstretched, locked to the frame of the headboard. You were going nowhere. This had all gone terribly wrong. Terribly terribly wrong. After some thought you realize that Fiona had every reason to be mad at you. Between the predicament you put her in earlier surrounding the lie around Allison and with what had just happened...you were surely on Fiona's most hated list now. You fucked it all up and you felt simply wretched.

Sitting in the darkening room you feel more alone than you had ever felt before. The mind warping **** which had been so fun now only accentuating your loneliness and despair. The first tear streaks down your cheek.
