The birth of a new man

"I'm not sure what drove you to act like this, but I have to say that's it's a welcoming surprise. I've had very few partners that were dominant with me," June almost swooned as she cleaned herself up. They had stayed in their position for another two minutes or so before talking.

John was not sure either. Something deep inside of him had simply taken over. It wasn't anything John didn't want or tried to hide; it was simply something that he hadn't been able to experience yet with how his last sexual encounters went. This was certainly something John wanted to keep working at, this dominant role.

The problem was, what if the girl was physically stronger than him? Apparently, Gaia was in a giving mood, so a pop-up in his peripheral vision told him exactly that:

Well, that cleared that problem then... Shaking his head, John replied to June, "Honestly said, I've never done anything like this... But it sure felt good... Uhhh, don't call me Master in class, though... That'd be weird."

His teacher had to heartily laugh at that, "Oh, don't worry about that, I know exactly how to deal with these secrets. I do hope though that I will get many more opportunities to call you 'Master' on Saturday," she said with a sultry smile; "Now go, lunch is almost over, and I need to fix my clothes for the next period."

That was a good point; John still had to eat something during lunch. The service at the cafeteria likely wouldn't give him anything at this point anymore... Maybe there was something he could do to get some food another way? For now, he closed his zipper again and said goodbye to June with a kiss.

Once he was outside of the art room (which was locked again once he had left the room), John took the time to check his messenger again. He had gotten four messages in the time he had some fun with his teacher:

Brunhilde [12:15]: Yo, just woke up. Late shift today. The fuck you mean you're a Lord now? Did you buy some land online or what?

John had to chuckle at that message. He guessed that the whole Kingdom thing wasn't really widespread knowledge?

John [12:23]: Fuck no, that's the boring way to get land. No, I actually found something in the last Barrier, turns out it's a key to another world, which I guess I'm in a symbiotic relationship with now? Can't fuck it tho. Not that I know of...

He then had the brilliant idea to check into the Nexus during the rest of lunch, maybe some of the plants or trees bore fruit? Anything's possible with weird magical plants...

On to the next message:

Astrid [12:05]: Heeey... I'm okay. I've been up for a while now, didn't want to look at my phone yet... I remember everything that happened in that Barrier... I'm so sorry for what I did, what she did, I'm not entirely sure who's really who here... So you don't put what happened against me? Also not gonna be at school, I think that's obvious by now '^_^

Well, at least he now knew what was going on with Astrid. The message also told him that she now knew of Titania, making it easier for her to deal with it head-on.

John [12:24]: Don't sweat it, I know that wasn't you! Titania talked with me, and she told me that you two are not the same. I know you wouldn't dangle me from a rooftop like that ;) But I'm glad to hear you're kinda okay now. I really hope that whatever your grandma and the Order have planned for you will work to your advantage!

The next message was... John would say it didn't surprise him.

Aranea [12:18]: Pff, there's no such thing as 'too busy for being ****' :P That's all day everyday fun! Depending on what you do Friday, maybe I'll see you? Also, you should totally come into my workshop at some point, I could totally pimp the little guy a bit for you ;) and I mean both of them.

That sounded like a good idea! Maybe she could give Gary some combat capabilities? Thanks to the Nexus, size shouldn't be that much of a problem as long as he would fit through the door.

John [12:24]: You have some serious **** fixation... Bet you won't be that into it if I'd do it to you? ;P And yeah, that sounds like an idea! Just need to check when I have enough time to do so... free time seems to fill up a lot currently.

The last message was the one John had waited for the most. While Kim had told him not to worry about it, a part of him still did.

Emilie Winter [12:22]: Dear Mr. Newman, the time and location for your interview have now been determined. Your interview and evaluation will happen today at 3:30 PM in the Moon clan residence. Our team of judges will meet you there under the protection of the Moon clan. Your head interviewer will be Mr. Magus, high ranking member of the Fateweavers, who has shown personal interest in your interview. Please be punctual. Please prepare yourself in any way you see fit. Mr. Magus... Like Magoi Magus? Like the guy that he was supposed to give the disk? Well, that was certainly highly convenient... or was it really convenient? Did Wentworth plan on this? John had no way to be sure, but then again, right now he didn't feel like he needed to be. He would simply give the man the disk and be done with the debt.

To spend the rest of the lunch break in the Nexus, John went to the closest bathroom and locked himself into one of the cabins. The walls were tiled and the jointing already crumbled away at multiple points, giving John a shallow gap that he could put the card into. The card then went into that gap as if it was a lot deeper and opened the same doorway it did the last two times.

As he stepped into the darkness of the Nexus, he was immediately greeted by Sarai, "Master! Thank Gaia that you're here! Something has happened! Something broke into the storage rooms, and all of the drones can't enter it now for some reason... Could you check what has happened in there?"

What? Something has broken in? How did it even get access to the Nexus? John had to ask Sarai that question, "What do you mean 'something broke in'? How would it even gain access to the Nexus? Could it have been something that I've brought in here? Where's Gary? Is he downstairs?"

Sarai gave him an uncertain look on his interface, "I am not sure if there is a way to gain access to the Nexus, but you obviously have found a way, so why not anything else? Your theory about it being something you brought here seems more plausible, especially if you know that you actually brought something here. Did you?"

Was there anything he had brought here?
