Emmaline asks politely

The Bravos approached the southernmost entrance of the Manor, walking up together. Emmaline had told them that they must move like they belonged, like anyone doubting their presence would be the most ridiculous thing in the world. Fuu was used to moving like that, with grace and poise, she had trained to be able to control her body and posture, so it came naturally. Becky was a little more awkward, but mostly did her best simply not to draw attention to herself. Liv meanwhile, looked patently absurd, the clothing fit her well, but even the most casual observer could tell that she was completely out of place.

"Halt!" the guard said as they reached the Manor. "This is the property of Lady Alexandria Deudonne, as given by the king himself. Declare who you are or be on your way!"

"Hello good sir," Emmaline stepped forward, bowing to the guard. She spoke with a heavier accent than usual, but the shift in tone almost seemed more natural than her usual voice. "I ask that you permit us entrance into your lady's manor. She will expect us as humble guests for tonight's festivities."

"Well you certainly look the part." The guard looked over the group, pausing for a moment when he noticed Liv. "For the most part, at least... Well, who are you? Maybe you're on the list after all.

"I believe that Lady Deudonne might act with some discretion on the part of which guests she informs the guards of," Emmaline said, relying on her mask to help disguise her avoidance of the question. "Again, I ask that you grant us permission to enter."

"If you won't say who you are, then how am I supposed to know you're supposed to be here?" the guard crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed.

"I suppose there is a way I might be able to discreetly convince you..." Emmaline smiled at the guard, stepping toward him.
