Becky and Liv head north

"If we take out the leader..." Liv started to say

"...it'll ruin any sort of strategy they might have when we attack! The Gnolls will be in total disarray!" Becky finished for her, then frowned. "Though, if I recall correctly, Gnolls operate on a system of power, so their leader is almost certain to be the most powerful member of the tribe."

"All the more reason to kill him before the fight begins." Liv said solemnly. "Come on, Becky, it's me and you! We'll get the drop on him and he'll be dead in an instant."

Becky eventually agreed, and the two of them made their way down the northern passage, using the shadows on either side of the passageway to hide themselves. A short way up the inclined passageway, their progress came to a halt, as they came across a massive iron door, which covered the entire width of the cave, and was guarded by two large Gnolls. Unlike the guards they had slain earlier, these two wore heavy armor, the sort which would easily deflect Becky's daggers and all but the most precise shots from Liv's rifle.

The two fell back a short way up the cave to discuss their plans.

"We can take them." Liv insisted in a hushed whisper. "All I need is two shots, and they'll both be dead. Or we could even do the same thing we did to take out the other guards!"

"Emmaline might be able to roast them alive, and Fuu might be able to puncture through their armor-- you might even be able to hit a weak spot, but there is absolutely nothing I can do to damage those behemoths" Becky frowned, musing to herself more than she was challenging Liv's suggestion. "If we do attack them, what am I to do? Act as a distraction for you?"
