You certainly feel good, but the thought of having some kind of power seems silly. You still wonder if you hallucinated the whole thing.

In the distance you see Tasha. She gracefully glides her way back to you.

You catch her stare and try to draw her in. She seems lost in your gaze.

You follow her to a different stairwell. From below you hear a hideous roaring sound. Tasha grabs you and throws you against the wall flat. She flattens herself against the wall next to you.

You here a guttural growling sound from around the corner. Then you see it. It is so unlike anything you have ever seen you are having trouble processing just what IT is.

In some ways it resembles a dog. Yet it has an extra set of hairy, red, human like arms where a dog’s shoulders would be. It’s neck is a good foot longer than a typical dog. It’s eyes are red reptilian slits brimming with malice. It sniffs the air. It looks right at you and Tasha, a string of drool nearly hits your foot.

You remain calm and quiet. It sniffs the air poking its open mouth toward you. You can see several rows of sharp, jagged, two inch long fangs. It turns it’s head from you and heads up another floor. It is soon out of sight and Tasha breathes a sigh of relief. She pulls you away from the wall, holding you. In the awkward pause you feel her start to lean in for a kiss. She stops herself.

“Linda, if we get out of this would you consider becoming a demon hunter?”

“Let’s go we’ve got a lot of stairs to climb.”

You let Tasha get a bit ahead and look into the buildings glass surface. You mentally call for Gina. Moments later she appears her image walking beside yours.

She grins at you. “You are growing stronger, my sister. I take it your little suggestion worked?”

You quietly giggle. “Yes. What are you, Gina?”

“We.” She emphasizes we. “Are the Awakened, or as humans call us, vampires. Do you feel your powers growing, your senses expanding?”

You sniff the air. You can smell Tasha’s scent, her sweat, her blood. The smell arouses you. You smile at Gina, your eyeteeth growing to the length of fangs.

“Yes, oh yes.”

Tasha stops, perhaps hearing your chatter. You catch up to her and look deep into her eyes.

“You heard nothing unusual.” You dive even deeper into her mind. “You are bisexual.” The ease which she accepts the suggestion makes you believe she leaned that way anyway. “You are very attracted to me.”

You break eye contact.

Tasha stares at you hungrily. “I think Elise is on this floor.”

“This almost seems too easy.”

“Yes, I was thinking that too. We just have to be careful. C’mon.”

You follow Tasha down the hall. A demonic security guard blocks the corridor. However, with your invisibility to demons, you slip by easily.

Soon you reach a locked room. Tasha uses some kind of device. The door slides open. You step into a modern dungeon. A host of tools you don’t recognize hang on the wall. In the back a woman hangs on the wall, bound in manacles.

She is naked. Her breasts are full and round. Her waist is thin and legs are long and shapely. Her bright red hair is tussled and a hot mess.

She also isn’t human. With your enhanced senses you can tell she is some kind of demon.

Tasha smiles. “Elise!” She runs to her. “Are you ok?”

Elise looks up and smiles. “I...I...think so. Can you get me down?”
