Chapter 2 by Glouton L'Gourmand
What are you?
Butcher
Chop.
Chop.
Chop.
How long have you been chopping this slab of meat?
Crunchcrunchcrunchcrunch.
How long has that been grinding those bits of beef?
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
How long have those slaughtered cows been hanging on those hooks?
You are a Butcher. An NPC added in World's "Ivory King's Tower" expansion pack, that players could kill for a fuckload of EXP, and a pathetic farce of an achievement. Then, they would loot your store, and you would respawn when they leave, penniless, tired, and pissed as hell. And if they weren't slaughtering you, they would be buying your cuts of meat and food products, while mocking you right in front of your face.
Players these days had no respect.
Sighing, you opened the stat menu and decided to take a look.

You reopen the stat menu, and look at the 'Name' section.

The bell to your shop jingles. You hear weapons. Probably yet another party come to kill you.
Create Name?
How long have you been doing this?
"Hey look, it's the Butcher! I heard that if you kill him, you get a lot of EXP, andan achievement!" A male voice. Probably a newbie, based on his words.
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
Create Name?
How long have you been doing this?
"That's gonna be a cakewalk. I mean, look at his stats! They're so low!" Another newbie. A feminine voice this time.
Crunchcrunchcrunchcrunch.
Create Name?
How long have you been doing this?
"Trust me, he's actually harder than he looks. As soon as we finish him off, we'll go to the castle for the storyline quest, OK?"
Chop.

How long have you been doing this?
"How hard is he? I mean, does he even have a name?"

Create Name?
How long have you been doing this?
"Nah. He's only a bit harder than the mooks outside the city. He'll be easy. That's why he doesn't have a name."
Chop.
You stop chopping.
Create Name?
How long have you been doing this?
....Long enough.
"My name...."
You turn, as the adventurers cry in surprise. You relish the looks of shock, and the blush on the female newbie, as you speak your first words in....well, ever.
Create Name?
"....Is Ardenter."
Create Name: Ardenter?
(Yes/No)

Game Lore: Ardenter, The Butcher
An NPC from World's "Ivory King's Tower" expansion pack, the Butcher is a weak boss that yields a large amount of EXP and the "Butchered the Butcher" achievement.
The Butcher is six feet tall, with an angular face, shaggy red hair, red eyes, tan skin, and a lean yet fit build. He is protected by his enchanted gear, and his "AI" is capable of adjusting to combat situations, making him harder than regular enemies. His handsome features and toned body have led to female players for him to be made a possible familiar, and has caused many male players to question their sexuality.
He is, however, still an enemy, albeit a weak one, and many kill him once and leave, or farm him. However, over time, it seems that something about him has changed, as he has suddenly gained the name "Ardenter", and seems to be more aware than normal. Possible information will be sent in as soon as possible.
How strong are the adventurers?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
