In the weeks leading up to her 21st birthday on September 19th, 2017 Pia begins planning for her trip home to Guam. She’s planning to take a year off from her career and just relax on her beautiful island. Plus this is the year she’ll be honoring an old family tradition.

For the entire year between her 21st and 22nd birthday, Pia will be staying with the people of her island who keep to the old ways. What that means is that as soon as Pia arrives home she will be rendezvousing with the ancestral tribe at the edge of the jungle. There Pia will be expected to leave all elements of the outside world behind and enter the jungle naked and barefoot.
