Preparing for the return

You don't know how much time has past honestly. Feeling tired and mentally exhausted you had fallen asleep after crying your eyes out. You heard the creek of the door and almost started panicking again. Even though you knew the door was locked it still took you half a second to realize it was Chloe.

"Jesse!" She shouts, you can't quite make out her tone. "I'm home." There is worry in her voice now. Did she run into Fiona? You didn't wake up to shouting so you doubt it but you were out of it.

You quickly sit up and straighten your clothes. You aren't quite ready to be this **** around Chloe yet. Swiftly wiping your eyes to the best of your abilities you call out, "In here." You winch a bit as the tone of your voice comes out watery and unstable.
