Unexpected Turnaround

As the sun was setting over the forest, Temari was settling in for a potentially long night. It had taken her several hours, but she had eventually managed to find out where Naruto Uzumaki lived. She was positioned directly across from his apartment, staring through his window as he prepared himself for bed.

"He looks so...normal. There's no obvious bloodlust, no sign of any crazy powers. If the town folks weren't so serious about this, I wouldn't even be able to tell he was like Gaara." Temari muttered to herself, watching in disbelief as the supposed demon put a sleep cap with a cartoonish face onto his head. Naruto appeared to be humming to himself as he sat down on his bed, sharpening a couple of kunai right before turning in.

Now was as good a time as any. Temari removed a small fan from her pocket and began waving it around herself, using her wind chakra to summon a small cloud of smoke. Then she leaned into the cloud and whispered into it a single word. Then with a flick of her wrist the cloud dispersed in the air, turning into a light breeze that floated down to surround Naruto's head. However, rather than sink unto his thoughts like Temari had expected, the genjutsu seemed to just hover around him.

"What the...?" Temari mumbled to herself. She hesitated for a moment, weighing her options, and then she summoned another cloud. This one too went to surround the boys head to no effect.

"What's going on?"

Inside Naruto's mind, the demon fox chuckled to himself as he slowly filled the little insect's cloud with his own words and infused it with his chakra. His host had a little potential, but for now he was far too weak to ensure their mutual continued existence. Now though, the fox had a way to ensure that there were more people besides just the old man up in the tower who were fully invested in protecting them.

Temari had no time to react before the cloud suddenly rounded on her, now glowing a dull shade of red as it swept away any resistance she might have had and burrowed straight into her thoughts. Her eyes glazed over and her pupils shrank to pinpoints as she began to mutter the truths about her new life.

"I am the first of Naruto Uzumaki's harem army. I am the general and recruiter. His happiness and safety are my number one priorities. I will never let myself grow weak like this village's kunoichi so that I can always be of use to Naruto. Even though he does not yet know it, I shall grant anything that he asks of me. I live to please him."

Her new priorities set, the girl blinked and looked around. She could have sworn that she heard something...

It wasn't important. Temari set her gaze down at the blonde across the street.

"Alright Temari, it's the night before the biggest test of his life. I'm sure that a little distraction would be nice for him, take the edge off a bit." She glanced down at her own body and ran her hands from her breasts down to her ass, giving her cheeks a hard squeeze.

"Yeah...he would get some real pleasure out of that. But with how dangerous the exam tomorrow is, I need to make sure that I can protect him. Most of the gennin girls from this place are pretty weak, but I'm staying in the hotel with all of the other foreign teams. A little recruiting might be in order here...
