Getting far away
Sprint across town
Ten minutes was all it took the family to grab everything they could from their home. Amy grabbed Ollie, drawing him in for a hug, tears streaming down her face. Clearly Sarah had told her about the situation. Everyone was tense, scared, uncertain of what was to come. They all piled into the car and sped through the town.
The radio confirmed their fears, the virus had reached the UK. The reporter urged people to stay in their homes. One look out of the window showed people were not listening.
"Take the A1" Sarah advised her husband. "Got it", he quietly replied. The town was beginning to get busy. Fortunately the Davis family had been quick to react before the traffic really got out of hand.
They were nearly on the other side of town, pulling onto the main road that would take them to the nearest motorway, however, a huge queue of traffic, stretching as far as the eye could see, was keeping them from leaving.
With cars now filing up beside and behind the car, they were trapped.
