Yep.
Yeeeeeep.
John stared blankly at the newly formed woman, who stared back at him in turn. There were a number of things running through his head at that moment. Somewhere, he realized that using Purify had been a pretty stupid move. Not only did it mean that he didn't have the beast's corpse to use as food, but it also meant that he had another mouth to feed. He also, somewhere, noted that there were a bunch of notifications popping up, almost all of which he ignored. Because above all else, one particular thought ran through John Newman's mind.
"Did I just… make Seras Victoria?"
John wasn't the greatest fan of anime - it took him weeks, if not months, to find a new series to watch, even when he truly set his mind to it. But honestly, even he couldn't have missed the borderline flawless series that was Hellsing. Which was why what he was staring at was so difficult to understand, even after everything he had uncovered the previous day.
Was this the Seras Victoria? Was it a copy of her? Did it matter? The blue of her eyes, the blonde of her hair… those massive fucking tits… to the eyes, at least, it was Seras Victoria - and her character info agreed.
"M-master? Is something wrong?"
"Master? Wait, the collar did that to Maera and Mithra, does she- does she think I'm Alucard, or…"
"Myaster?" Maera said, crawling up behind him. She pawed at the ground uncertainly, eyes locked on the newcomer. It seemed that she didn't know what to think, and didn't understand who this new person was or why she was also referring to John as "Master". Then again, neither did he.
"Ex-excuse me, but… you are my Master, aren't you? I can't really remember… anything, actually. Not for a while, at least…"
"This is… everyone calm down for a minute," John said, brushing Maera off for the moment, patting her on the head to reassure her as he started to look at the cavalcade of notifications that had popped up since halfway through the battle. He'd been too busy to read anything during the fight, and the pile had only grown larger through time, especially with all those experience notifications for killing the original bats clogging up his log, not that he didn't appreciate the extra EXP…

Observe - Level 4: Now displays full character sheets when used on party members! Mana Cost now 3 per use.
Purify - Level 2: Now displays full description.
Purify - Level 2
Purifies an Abyssal creature. This purification causes them to become a permanent, living creature of a new (similar) species, sets their alignment to zero, and sets their relationship to a value equal to "50 - (True Value of previous alignment)". To purify a creature its missing health % must be equal to or greater than the true value of its alignment (minimum 50% missing HP), and it must be at least one full level lower than the user. Magically bonded creatures must be purified together, adding their levels, current / maximum HPs, and the true value of their alignment scores for the purposes of this ability. The creatures created are non-hostile initially but may rapidly turn hostile or ally themselves with the user based on their new alignment, relationship score, and the actions that the user takes before and immediately after Purifying them. Mana Cost: 9 x Level of creature being Purified.

Quest Updated!
New Bonus Objective: Provide Seras with enough life essence to survive for a week.
Reward: +500 EXP.
Tier 2 Objective: Reach 50 Relationship with Seras by the end of the day.
Tier 2 Reward: A motto.
"Yeah, that's… that's about what I expected," John murmured, glancing at Seras. Aside from the strange reward for the second tier of the quest, anyway.
"You said you can't remember anything for a while... what can you remember?"
"Bits and pieces. I got turned into a vampire… but I don't remember 'oo turned me, or wot 'appened after. Some'ow I must have ended up 'ere. Do you… know me?"
"I know… of you," John said carefully, not even beginning to understand how to explain this entire thing to her. "I know what you are, and what you can do, Police Girl."
"Actually sir, my name is-"
"Come on, Police Girl," John said, sighing, "I can't teach you much about the Abyss yet, but maybe we can learn together."
"Y-yes, Master," Seras said, sighing. John dismissed the dungeon with a thought, and then they were all where they had left off. Seras seemed the most shocked, while Maera and Mithra were only surprised for a moment before they started to play around in the fields again.
"Where… where are we?" Seras asked, looking around.
"We're in… I don't actually know," John admitted, glancing around. "It's a place separated from the rest of the world. I made it, I think. This is where I've been keeping Maera and Mithra, separate from the real world, because they would be noticed immediately."
"Well, the ears do kinda give it away, don't they?" Seras noted, staring at the frolicking catgirls. "And the tails. And the… nudity."
"You know you're naked too, right?"
"D-don't remind me!" Seras said, cowering behind her (not at all sufficient) hands as cover. "Hey, if you're my Master, you should know what happened! How did I get here, why can't I remember anything… and why am I naked?!"
"Uh… well, in order," John said, doing his best to stall for time as he came up with acceptable answers. The part about Purified creations becoming hostile under the wrong circumstances was still ringing in his head as he started to come up with an explanation.
"You got here because I summoned you, isn't it obvious?" John said, trying to sound calm and confident, despite his blatant lie. Honestly, considering Seras wasn't exactly a destructive person, John wasn't too worried about her killing him… but he needed to maintain some form of control here, given that he had so little over the rest of his situation now. Though, he didn't need to lie entirely. Half-truths would do."
"I- I suppose so, but why don't I remember getting here? The last thing I remember was being shot, and then a pain on my neck… someone bit me. W-was it you?"
"I wasn't the one who turned you. I am your master, though."
"I don't know… that doesn't feel right…" Seras said. John tried to put authority into his voice, to stand up for himself and what he wanted as he stared directly into her eyes.
"I am your master. You are here because I summoned you, you can't remember anything because you don't need to, and you are naked because I want you to be!"
Seras almost seemed to flinch at the last words, her hand flying to her head in a salute. It looked as though being confronted with authority by a figure she moderately respected (at least, judging by her relationship score) was enough to set her back into her police officer habits. John nodded at the gesture, as Seras began to speak again.
"Y-yes Master! But… I don't even know ya name, how can I-"
Deception Successful!
"Fuck. I forgot about that." John tried to rebound, putting his thoughts about that worrying skill away as he interrupted her.
"My name is John Newman. You are Police Girl. They are Maera and Mithra, and we are all bound together in this place. There are probably a thousand questions you want answered, but we will get to them in time. For now, we need to make the best of this place. And that means…"
John turned aside, ignoring Seras for the moment as he collected the loot while his thoughts whirled around him. He'd burned away most of the bats, yet they still left some loot - He had enough food - he hoped - to provide Mithra and Maera with sustenance. But now he needed to give them enough water, and on top of that, provide Seras enough "life essence"… did he have to let her drink his blood? Did he trust her with that? If she messed up or lost control, or even turned against John, he wasn't a virgin anymore. If she still followed Hellsing rules, he was nothing better than a ghoul if she did…
"That means we need some changes."
John only had to think of it this time, and the same menu he had seen before popped up. A list of zones, which was just as extensive as before, but this time with a new addition - a grid, which had one square directly in the middle highlighted. John tapped on it and saw an informational sidebar pop up beside the menu.
Zone 1 (Unnamed)
Area: 4 Square Miles
Terrain: Plains
Inhabitants: Maera, Mithra
"Interesting," John said, clicking on the square next to it. This time all he saw was Blank Zone, with no follow-up details. John clicked on the blank zone and then the "Lake" option. Immediately the square on the grid was filled. Where the first one had been solid green, this new square was only surrounded with green, with almost the entire interior drowned out in a solid blue shape with no straight borders or angles on its edges. Apparently, John had just discovered his own personal map of this new world. It even had a N-E-W-S cardinal directions labeled on the side.
New Zone unlocked - Zone 2: Unnamed (Lake) [-6 Zone Customization Points]
"This place is growing stranger and stranger. Lands I don't know, creatures that shouldn't exist, and abilities that don't show me their full descriptions… I feel as if I'm being tested. Toyed with. Perhaps I am…"
John tried to shake those thoughts away. He glanced at the watch on his wrist and the sun in the distance to help him figure out exactly where the grid was located, and set out.
"Come on," he said loudly to those behind him, gesturing toward the distant horizon, away from the setting sun, "We need to move quickly if we want to get there before sundown, and I don't want to be walking around here in the dark."
John wasn't even sure if there were any creatures that would bother them, but not knowing exactly where he was still gave him a sense of nervousness. Perhaps that was the consequence of growing up in a world where he had a GPS device in his pocket since puberty.
"W-where are we goin'?" Seras asked, glancing around. Maera and Mithra didn't even follow behind John, but he noted that they were steadily working their playing and frolicking over toward the direction he was traveling. He wasn't sure yet if they were treating him like a real Master, or if they were only obeying him because they didn't want to be alone. Well, they were cats… no telling when or why they might disobey him.
"We're going to a Lake just a little ways from here. This is a special place, sealed away from the normal world, and I have to return in a day or so. That means I'm going to have to leave them with enough food and water. You should be alright, I'll only be gone for a day or so, and… uh… I'll try to figure out something by then for you."
"I, uh, I don't really… don't really eat much," Seras said, shyly, putting a finger up to her mouth nervously.
"I can guess," John said, shaking his head. If she only remembered being recently turned, she probably had only her normal abilities, and had never had human blood. If this whole thing really even worked the same way as in the anime to begin with, which John wasn't entirely certain of anyway. Either way, there were few vampires that could survive without blood, no matter the source. Even if she wouldn't die, John certainly didn't want her to end up a lifeless husk like Alucard had after a few years without blood. He was going to have to feed her.
There wasn't much more conversation while they were on the way. Despite her nervousness, having a goal and something to do physically seemed to ease Seras' tension a little bit. John tried not to look at her too often, because every time he did she tried to walk while covering as much of herself as possible, which really slowed them down - but when she was busy watching the Neko twins play and frolic or just seemed absorbed in thoughts, John could see something resembling acceptance and maybe even happiness there. Acceptance, happiness, and a giant pair of tits. Seriously, he had no idea how they were so perky at that size. Then again, if that was the thing he picked out as impossible among all this…
"There it is!"
John pointed as if Seras hadn't likely seen it long before he did, but the young blonde just nodded. Mithra and Maera were already there, faces dug deeply into the water, their butts tantalizingly waving as their tails gently swayed.
"Shit, right, I didn't leave them with any water yesterday… they probably were starting to feel pain from going that long," John thought to himself, hoping Seras didn't notice the guilt on his face. He'd never been good with pets, to be honest. He was definitely going to need to work on that… a lot.
"So, I probably shouldn't just feed the meat from that creature to them raw," John said, shaking his head as he glanced at his inventory screen. He switched over to the map again, glancing at the empty squares surrounding them. John targeted the zone to the north of the Lake and clicked on it, then selected the Forest option.
New Zone unlocked - Zone 3: Unnamed (Forest) [-5 Zone Customization Points]
"Police Girl, there's a forest to our north, about… two miles," John said, reading the map as best as he could without a proper measuring tool and with it as zoomed out as it was. "Go up there and gather as much wood as you can, branches and twigs that have fallen or you can reach. Pile it up outside the southern edge of the forest, we'll move up there after we're finished here. Should be a better place to make camp, and it will have some shelter if the weather turns."
"A-alright, Master," Seras said, bowing her head slightly, her eyes filled with a sudden determination. John tried to hide the surprise in his face. Despite her doubts about her own transformation, she was taking rather quickly to the "master" thing… then again, he had created her, so it wasn't all that different, even if she didn't know that. Maybe, somewhere deep down, she did. All John cared about was that having someone who would listen to him and who was intelligent enough to perform tasks like this was going to be a big help, especially if he wanted to turn this place into something livable.
Seras set out at a high speed, off toward the forest John trusted to be there when she arrived. With her gone, and the Nekos still lapping away at the water (John made a note to teach them how to drink like a human so they wouldn't take hours to refresh themselves in the future), John took a moment to consider the grid in front of him.
The whole Purify thing and the fact that Abyss creatures dropped items when he beat them was still kind of a source of stress for John, wondering why it was happening to him and what would happen to him if Moira or the rest of the Order of the Golden Rose found out… but this was something he hadn't really taken the time to appreciate, considering how many other extravagant things it was buried under. Creating these last two zones, setting them up for success and life like this had really set John's mind on a happy note.
"I made this," John thought, glancing at everything - the sky, the lake, the Nekos in front of him. "I created all this with the help of Gaia, right? This is… this is mine. These are my Nekos. This is my world. This is… my… world."
John smiled, eyes alight with just a hint of the feeling of megalomania that had overcome him for a moment. Those same eyes trailed down from the sky, across the glimmering surface of the lake, and hovered over the well-positioned asses of the two Neko Warriors before him.
John smiled as he strode toward them.
"Mine."
