Brian does

"Mr. Carter and I can escort them to the Headmistress," Brian offers as you nod in agreement. "That way the girls who are taking this seriously aren't losing out."

Ms Wilder looks at him with gratitude. "Thank you so much Coach Watts. And I'm sorry you had to see this. Miss Mathewson said she invited you and Mr. Carter to see us practice and I'm afraid these foolish young ladies have spoiled it." She glares at the three giggling girls, her face a pout of disappointment.

"We'll look after them," you say, gesturing to the trio to come along. "You go back to your practise."

The girls cling to each other and giggle, obviously not taking this seriously at all, and you shake your head at their disrespect and disregard for discipline.

"Nothing's gonna happen," Rina says with a drunken laugh. "Old lady Naylor will just make us write out some shit and burn it. You'll see. It's a total joke."

"Whatever the case, you're going to see her," you reply, sharing an irritated look with Brian.

"Yeah, well she's not in her office anyway," one of the other girls blurts. "I saw her heading down here a while ago. She's probably hitting balls in the cage. It's how she works off her frustration, the dried up old maid."

As she speaks you hear the distant crack of a bat on a ball, followed by another and another. Drunk or not, it sounds like the girl is right.
