The Deception Begins

You pull into the driveway and turn off your car. You and Elsie sit quiet for a long time. Your time had come to an end, you had come back down to reality. You take a deep breath and lean over and give her a sweet intimate kiss.

"What ever happens...have faith, okay?" You say to her.

You give each other one last look then head inside.

When you open the door you see your mother standing in the hall with her arms crossed. She had a wrath about her that only a protective mother could.

Her eyes were locked on you. "Elsie, go to your room." She orders.

"Mom, I..." Elsie starts.

"NOW!" She barks.

Elsie gives you a worried look but does as she is told. Watching her walk away was tough, you steel yourself for the deception that must come.

Once Elsie is gone your mother finally addresses you. "What the hell are you doing Jesse?"

"Mom, what is the big deal? We went and saw a movie then stayed at a hotel cause it was late. We messed around a bit but that's what we do in this family, isn't it?" You say in defense.

"Don't you lie to me young man! I saw how she looked at you, I see how you looked at her. You were on a date. Don't take me for an idiot." She was fuming. "You have Allison to go out with, don't play with Elsie's feelings. Jesse, our family thing is just about the sex. It is hard for us to get partners. You can't possibly understand how hard it is for us keeping this secret."

"It was just a movie!" You lie through your teeth.

"Jesse, Elsie is at a tough age right now. And you know she's always had a crush on you." Obliviously you hadn't actually known that, maybe the only one who didn't. "No more dates. In fact, no more sex with Elsie for you. I should have never told you about this, your father was right." She looks at you. "Did she...did she fall in love Jesse?"

"It was just a movie." You repeat, avoiding the question. "Are you done?" You ask, it takes everything you have not to lose your temper right now.

She glares at you. "For now. I'm watching you two." She warns.

You head up to your room to get changed. This was going to be difficult.

You sit on your bed and without the slightest hesitation you pull out your phone. You call Allison and break up with her bluntly and directly. Hanging up you toss the phone beside you and put your face in your hands. She was just down the hall yet you already missed Elsie.
