"Fine, let's go talk to the assholes, then," you say. "If you wouldn't mind."

"Sure. I'd like to meet your friends," Caoimhe says.

"Your naivety is adorable," you say, crossing arms with Caoimhe and guiding her over to your friends.

"So how are you guys?" you ask.

"Shit, Jack? This is Caoimhe, huh?" Lukas asks.

"Good to meet you," Caoimhe says, extending her hand.

Lukas shakes her hand, grinning.

"Handshakes. How formal."

"Jesus, she is fit. I wouldn't mind...!"

"Watch it, asshole," you interrupt, staring daggers at Ben.

"I wouldn't mind taking her to a nice meal! Get your mind out of the gutter!" Ben says with a wink.

"Hey, Jack," Daniel says.

"Hey, Daniel. Where's Mercedes?" you ask Daniel.

"She went off to have a drink with her friends, so I had a drink with mine. Still, good to meet you, Caoimhe."

"Good to meet you, Daniel. I've heard a lot about you."

"Yeah, I'm sure Jack talks about us all the time when he's with you," Lukas says.

"I think he can find a few other uses for his mouth!" Ben laughs.

"Tell us, Jack, just how far have you got with this little thing? Any good stories?"

"Stop being a drunken asshole, Lukas," Daniel laughs.

"I'm just asking a question!" Lukas says defensively, stumbling to the desk. "I'm not saying she's a slut or anything, just that they're young and having fun, and I kind of want to hear about it."
