After two weeks with Mr. Gladly still coming to class wearing his altered uniform, Nick decided that it was likely that his power didn’t have a time limit. Now it was time to see just how far he could push what people considered normal.

The moment he got to school he tracked down his chosen target. Taylor Hebert was the school pariah. For some reason the three most popular girls had a bone to pick with her and rest of the school either supported them in their bullying or ignored it for fear of suffering the same fate. Nick himself was a member of the later crowd. But this status worked in his favor because it meant that no one would miss her.

Finding her at her locker, Nick grabbed Taylor’s hand, and he led her to a place where they could have some privacy. At one point in time, Winslow had a music class with its own room. Then budgets started getting cut. Now the room sat unused, and most of the instruments had been stolen. Coupled with the fact that it was in the middle of the building and had no windows for any snoops to peek through made it perfect for his purposes. Leading Taylor inside, Nick closed the door before turning to where Taylor stood nervously in the middle of the room.
