[Shell-Ghosts and You!]

The Shell-Ghost is a special type of denizen of the city: created when a BANE Monster destroys someone other than its target within the city they live on in a kind of strange twilight life. Shell-Ghosts are constantly looking for someone to possess and use to live out their life: these people are distinguished by having seashells affixed to their forehead(s), shoulders, elbows, knees, the backs of their hands, tops of their feet, and right over their heart(s). These shells get bigger the longer they are possessed. Shell-Ghosts will consume their host after about a year, leaving them a shell-ghost themselves and beginning the cycle again. There are only three ways to defeat a shell ghost permanently: for a god to kill it with their bare hands, a difficult exorcism by an ordained priest, or to beat it at it's "Shell-Game". Be aware that shell ghosts will try to cheat at the Shell-Game and are also the best of the best at playing it...
